I have always had a deep love for dogs and have had them as part of my life for as long as I can remember. I previously raised Waffle, a Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy, for over a year. During that time, I trained her in basic obedience, house manners, and socialization, which was a rewarding and enriching experience. Waffle has since gone on to become a Narcotics K9 for the Connecticut State Police and I am proud to have played a role in her journey. In addition to raising Waffle, I’ve always been actively involved in caring for dogs —whether it's walking, feeding, bathing, or just ensuring their well-being. I also worked for an urgent-care veterinarian for 3 years giving me basic medical training experience and a network of doctors and nurses I can reach out to for any medical emergencies I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages, from puppies as young as 9 weeks to older dogs up to 18 years old. I am available to walk or take out your dog during weekdays. While I cannot offer overnight care due to having my own dog to care for, I would be happy to provide daytime walks and companionship for your furry friend.

I always make sure that pets I care for are in safe situations. Whether that means, cleaning up a mess to make sure your new pup doesn't get into it or giving medication to your older dog to make them comfortable, I always strive to make sure I know what your dog needs and will do what it takes to make them feel safe.

Sophie is so great with my puppy Teddy! He has some anxiety and can take a while to warm up to people, but he loved Sophie right away. She is great with dogs. Teddy was sick this week and Sophie cleaned up after him and made sure he was comfortable. I would highly recommend!

Sophie is an outstanding caretaker for my sweet boy, Buzz. She is clearly very thoughtful and a true animal lover. I can see every time that Sophie comes to pick up Buzz how excited he gets. In a big city full of sometimes less-than-reliable caretakers, Sophie is a true standout, and I know I can trust her with my dog's safety, comfort, and care. THANK YOU SOPHIE!!!
I have known Sophie Vich since she was a young girl. She is a very caring, kind, friendly, and responsible young woman. She absolutely adores animals and would be a wonderful addition to your team. She has always owned a dog for as long as I’ve known her, and she is the most attentive pet parent anyone could ask for. Also, as a college student she worked with Guiding Eyes For the Blind as a raiser of one of their puppies. She trained and cared for the puppy for a year and a half until the puppy was ready to be trained for service. She also worked for Bond Veterinary after college in one of their clinics and in their marketing department. Sophie is a very intelligent, dependable, reliable and trustworthy person and anyone would be lucky to have her as their employee.
