Pet care experience
I have a degree in animal behaviour and welfare!
I’ve looked after animals my entire life! My love for animals lead me to do a level 3 Animal management course in college! I then went onto study animal behaviour and welfare in University. While studying, I worked at a doggy day care. I cared for many dogs at the day care, including a wide range of breeds, ages and sizes. Doing this really give me an understand of the care needed at their different stages of life. After university, I then completed a dog grooming course and started working in a dog grooming salon. This gave me the opportunity to work 1-1 with each dog. Though this, I experienced many different behaviours, from anxious and nervous to reactive and aggressive. Also though dog grooming, I’ve worked with puppies all the way to senior dog and I’ve leant the best ways to deal with dogs at the different stages of life. I also did volunteer work at a vet practice, and I am also dog first aid trained. The welfare of the animals will always be my top priority!

Safety, trust & environment
I will always listen to what the owner says no matter what. If there are any concerns from me, I will always communicate them to make sure your pets are in the absolute best care. I am dog first aid trained, and I also have a car so if any vet tips were needed for any reason, I can get your pet there quickly and safely.

I have used Sophie for walking a couple of times now and she is great with my dogs! They are not the easiest lead walkers being excitable collies but she always goes above and beyond on the walks, brings her own towels when I forget and some treats. Would recommend to anyone!
Sophie has been absolutely amazing with our 2 dogs. She looked after them while there were fireworks and she did an amazing job to keep them calm and the dogs seemed very happy. We would definitely reccommend and use Sophie's services again! Thank you!
Sophie was fantastic. She took time to understand our 4 dogs, their needs and routine. Harvey was poorly when we were away and Sophie handled it all brilliantly with regular updates. Our home was immaculate when we returned. Polite, professional, true dog lover. Couldn’t recommend Sophie more.
Sophie, was punctual and spent a few minutes with the dogs, before taking Sophie out for their first walk together. She took time to understand Sophie (Labrador) background and needs, and spent time when they got back sharing their experience and how Sophie (Labrador) reacted with other dogs on their walk.
Very happy with Sophie’s services! - she really went above and beyond looking after my cat. I’d even had some builders in that had made a bit of a mess and she tidied up for the cats safety when she really didn’t need to. Highly recommend and will be using again! 😊
This was the first time we have left our numerous fur babies with a non family member, and we can’t speak highly enough of Sophie’s service. Through guiding us how to use the app, pre-visits to get to know the pets (2 cats, 2 dogs), lots of communication, and just a generally nice, professional attitude, we are very happy with the service, and can’t recommend her highly enough. We will be very happy to use her again in the future.

Schedule
I am already doing dog walking and pet sitting outside of rover! Currently, I have complete availability of when I can pet sit! I would love to carry on with in this field of work and hopefully make it my full time job!
