Hi! I’m Sophie. Dog walking has been my full time gig the last few years. It’s hard to call it a “job” when I love it so much! I’ve made so many new four legged friends over the years and I’m excited to make new ones in Chicago. I've had dogs and cats my whole life & I've watched countless animals over the years. I feel strongly about the treatment of animals and am an avid advocate for animals of all sorts. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to ensure the safety of your pet. As the owner of a reactive dog, I am very experienced in walking dogs with special instructions. I understand how scary it can be to trust your pup in someone else’s care, especially when your pup has issues with other dogs and/or people. I am very cautious of watching others animals, as I know what it's like to be on edge when out of town without your pet. You want to be able to trust your sitter so that you can relax/tend to your business. I follow instructions exactly as given to me by owner. I am also aware of any toxic foods/items.

Sophie was fantastic! This was our first time leaving our pup since getting her and it was very important that we not disrupt her routine as much as possible. Sophie adapted to our requests and made it a great experience for all of us. She sent frequent updates on how things we're going, we got pictures every day and even a few videos, and we could tell our dog was not stressed or anxious despite her typical golden-doodle personality. We would 100% look to work with Sophie again and recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their furry friend!

Sophie always takes great care of our pups and this visit was no different. She kept us updated as well as loving on our pup and handling her needs with an upset tummy!
This is the second time that I have asked Sophie to watch our older cat and I am so thankful that I found her. When we are out of town, Sophie comes twice a day and spends 30 min feeding, playing and giving our cat all of the kitty pets/scratches she needs. She sends photos and videos during her visits leaving me feeling reassured that my cat is in good hands. I never feel like I have to worry about our cat or our home when I am away. Sophie is a great pet sitter and I highly recommend her!
Sophie took amazing care of our boys while we traveled for a week. She loved on them like her own, communicated awesomely and left everything on top top shape!! Love coming home to happy and content pups!!

Schedule
I am super flexible, as I do not have a full-time job in Chicago yet! I can base my schedule off your pets needs, as I know how important is for them to stay in routine.

- I don’t have a preference on any type of animal/breed/size. I love them all. Once you care for a 100 lb lap dog, you can pretty much handle it all! It’s important for me to know how your animal reacts around other animals, in the chance we pass one on a walk or if one is passing the house, etc. Also, if your dog has a history of aggression, please let me know the best ways of approaching them to avoid any situations.
