I have just moved to Amsterdam from Melbourne, Australia and am currently seeking some dog walking opportunities in this new city. I am hoping to expand my services into dog sitting in the future.

All dogs I care for are treated as if they are my own and one of the family. While I can’t currently offer pet sitting I can do dog walking and in order to build trust I would recommend a meet and greet with the owners and dog/s and if both parties are happy then proceeding from there. I also ensure owners wishes and guidance is adhered to about their dogs often to ensure a safe, happy walk for all involved.

Information Sophie R. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know how your dog is walking on a leash, if there’s any reactivity I should be aware of, if they’re good off the leash and how they interact with other dogs. I would also like to know their favourite toys or games. Lastly their eating schedule and any medications they may take.
A typical day
Spending a day with me looks like a big walk (dependent on dog) and a sniffari around the neighbourhoods. We will then enjoy some quiet time at home and some indoor playing if necessary including some treats (if allowed). If the dog needs another walk then we’ll head out for the afternoon and then come home for a big dinner and some more chill time before bed!

I have grown up with dogs my whole life and love spending time with all dogs! I have done dog sitting and walking for the last few years for other families after my own family dog died and have a couple of regulars who I look after their dogs often. Every dog I look after I treat as if it is my own and provide regular communication with their owners while they’re in my care.

Sophie is a real animal lover, our cats seem to feel at ease with her. She has been flexibel, when we needed some extra work from her. I am very happy she is taking care of them, I feel reassured there in good hands.
Sophie was very responsive and took good care of my dog. My dog came back very happy! It was perfect for us while we were doing non-dog-friendly activities in Amsterdam.
Sophie took good care of my kitties while I was away❤️ Everything was clean and according to what we agreed 10/10❤️she is friendly and nice. I felt comfortable communicating with her☺️
Sophie looked after my Toy Cavoodle Peggy for 2-weeks and she was so well cared for. She sent me regular updates with cute photos which I loved as I was missing Peggy whilst I was away. Couldn’t recommend Soph enough!
