The cat whisperer
I’m a life-long cat owner and I know the best way to make them feel safe is to show respect for their boundaries. I’ve cared for cats who are extremely shy, who want their personal space, who are very standoffish, who want to play, and who want to cuddle right away. I’m comfortable with all of it :) I grew up with cats, including fosters with special needs, and I’m very familiar with their body language and behaviors. I'm also a confident nail-clipper! I only care for pets from one home at a time, so I can give them individualized attention.

I behave as if I’m on camera when I’m in someone else’s home, and your pet’s safety is my number one priority. I follow the schedule given me as closely as you need.

Sophie was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Gretel! Gretel is very shy around strangers, incredibly particular, and usually keeps her distance from anyone new, so I was naturally a little nervous leaving her. Sophie was so patient, kind, and respectful of Gretel’s boundaries, and it really showed. She sent regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. By the end of the stay, Gretel had actually warmed up to her—a huge accomplishment and something that doesn’t happen often! It was clear Sophie took the time to earn her trust instead of forcing interactions. I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave Gretel. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book Sophie again. Highly recommend!
Usually when I'm gone more than a few days, my cats Beany & Cecil are a bit sullen and mopey when I return. After Sophie looked after my guys, they seemed happy and playful. I liked that she sent me updates each night. I highly recommend Sophie for house sitting!
Sophie was an amazing cat sitter! She was very thorough, followed all instructions carefully, sent lots of updates, and most importantly, was so attentive to my cat. She is great with cats and understands their needs. Would happily work with her anytime again!

Schedule
I use your house as my home base during the sit. I sleep there every night and spend all my spare time with your cats. I have a second job and can sometimes be gone from 7am to 6pm.
- CatsSophie can host up to 1 pet per night
- Please let me know your cats’ temperaments and health needs: any recurring problems, symptoms I should watch out for, allergies and sensitivities. It’s also helpful to know where your cat feels safest.
