Safety, trust & environment
Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m looking after them at your home, their safety, comfort, and happiness always come first. If your pet stays at my place, they’ll be treated like family. I’ve got a big, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely run, play, and explore off-leash. Inside, it’s a calm and cozy space where your pet can feel right at home. I always stick to their usual routine as much as possible to keep things familiar and stress-free. When I care for pets in their own homes, I make sure they get plenty of love and attention, following their regular schedule so they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. I know how important it is to feel confident about leaving your pet, so I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand and keep you updated while you’re away—whatever helps you relax.

Information Sophie P. would like to know about your pet
To make sure your pet gets the best possible care, it’s really helpful to know a bit about them before their stay or visit. Every animal is different, and I want to make sure I’m meeting their individual needs right from the start. When you get in touch, I’ll ask a few questions about your pet’s routine, personality, likes and dislikes, energy levels, and any specific care needs they might have—like medication, feeding times, or how they get along with other animals. It’s also useful to know about any behaviours to watch out for, such as nervousness, pulling on the lead, or not being keen on other dogs or cats. The more I know, the more comfortable and settled your pet will feel—and the more peace of mind you’ll have while you’re away! 🐾 Pet’s name, age, and breed 🐾 Daily routine – feeding times, walk times, sleeping habits 🐾 Personality & temperament – friendly, shy, energetic, anxious, etc. 🐾 Favourite activities or toys 🐾 How they are with other dogs, cats, or people 🐾 Any medical conditions or allergies 🐾 Medications (if any) – dosage and timing 🐾 Emergency contact details 🐾 Vet contact info 🐾 Anything they dislike or find stressful (e.g. loud noises, being left alone, etc.) 🐾 Any commands they know or are working on
A typical day
You can always count on lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles—whether I’m looking after a dog, a cat, or both! For dogs, the day usually starts with a good walk to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. Depending on what your dog enjoys, we might head to the park, explore local trails, or take a relaxed stroll around the neighbourhood. There’s plenty of time for fun too—playing fetch, tug-of-war, or running around the garden. I also like to include a bit of mental stimulation with puzzle toys or simple training games to keep things interesting. With cats, it’s all about keeping them comfortable and happy in their own space. I stick to their usual routine and give them as much (or as little!) attention as they like—whether that’s interactive play, some grooming, or just a bit of quiet company while they snooze. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or prefers a slower pace, I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for throughout the day.

Pet care experience
I’ve had pets all my life and absolutely love being around animals—they’ve always been a big part of my day-to-day. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs and cats with all sorts of personalities, from playful and energetic to more laid-back companions. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s individual personality and making sure they feel happy, relaxed, and well looked after. Long walks are one of my favourite parts of the day, and I always make sure dogs in my care get plenty of fresh air, exercise, and fun. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a countryside adventure, or a bit of playtime in the garden, I make sure they’re enjoying themselves and getting the attention they deserve while you’re away.
Reviews

Sophie was incredible taking our cat Zara in with such last-minute notice. She shared updates with us and Zara seemed to really love her and not want to leave. Would highly recommend and would book her again.

Sophie was absolutely amazing with Lucky! She accepted our booking last minute and was very flexible with the timing, even accommodating an early 6:30 am drop-off, which we truly appreciated. She took great care of Lucky, spent time playing with him, and handled his medications with complete ease and confidence. Her professionalism and genuine care really gave us peace of mind. We’re very happy with her service and will definitely book with her again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter! 🐾💛
Last minute booking, full confidence in Sophie - prompt and communicative
Sophie was excellent, making sure my boys were well looked after, and clearly making them very comfortable with her
