Dog lover from New Zealand
I’m originally from New Zealand and have recently moved to Santa Monica. I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, including Labradors and German Shorthaired Pointers, so I’m very comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities and energy levels. I have years of experience dog walking and caring for dogs, including staying in owners’ homes while looking after their dogs. I’m comfortable keeping dogs company, maintaining their usual routines and making sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m friendly, reliable and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I’m an active person and love getting outside for walks, whether your dog enjoys a relaxed stroll around the neighbourhood or a longer walk to burn off some energy. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your dog in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your pup with the same care and attention I would want for my own. I’d love to meet your dog and give them plenty of attention, exercise and affection while you’re away!

I’m extremely reliable, trustworthy and respectful of your home and your pet’s routine. I have worked as a pet sitter and nanny for several years, and have built strong, long-lasting relationships with the families I’ve worked with. I understand that leaving your pet and home in someone else’s care requires a lot of trust. I take that responsibility seriously and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I’m attentive to their individual needs and routines, and will treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

I cannot recommend Sophie enough! She looked after my dog, Trix, during a really rough time while I was in hospital, and I couldn’t have asked for a more caring and loving person to look after her. Sophie was so easy to communicate with and gave me complete peace of mind knowing Trix was in such good hands. I don’t think Trix was too pleased to see me come home! Safe to say, Trix now has a new Aunty Sophie. Couldn’t recommend her more highly!
Sophie has looked after our girl Azula many times with such incredible care and kindness. She is a responsible and thorough caregiver who looks after each pet's specific needs and would provide us with frequent updates about how our girl was doing while we were away. Couldn't recommend her enough!
Sophie loves animals, especially dogs and has looked after many of our friends dogs over the years. She’s also an experienced house sitter. She is responsible, communicative and follows instructions carefully.
Sophie did a great job of looking after Lenny. He still remembers her and squeals with excitement. She is very friendly, calm and firm with dogs and loves to take them places. Highly recommend
I couldn’t recommend Sophie more highly for pet sitting! She is absolutely incredible with animals, especially dogs. She is such a kind, caring and loving person, and you can really see how much she genuinely loves and respects animals. She is responsible, respectful and always makes sure pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for. She has helped us countless times with our lovely Vizsla (they're best friends) over the years while she lived in New Zealand. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in leaving my pets in her care, and I know they would be in the best hands! ❤️

Schedule
I have a flexible work schedule, which allows me to adjust my day around your dog’s needs. I can be flexible with walks, drop-ins and house sitting, and I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine and schedule.
