Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around dogs throughout my whole life! My entire family are complete dog lovers. I grew up with a West Highland Terrier called Molly as our family dog who I quite literally grew up with as we got her when I was around 3 years old and she sadly passed away when I was 19 years old! As well, my family have a Springer Spaniel called Bella who is now 9, and the most recent addition to our family is Rory, another springer spaniel who is now just 4 months old! I have only recently moved to St Albans with my boyfriend a few weeks ago, but prior to this I was living back at home in Milton Keynes. As I work from home, I have spent a lot of the past few months training my dads new puppy Rory and looking after him when my dad is away during the day! This included 2 walks a day for Bella and Rory as well as feeding them their breakfast and dinner ☺️ I also have experience with my grandparents golden retrievers who I regularly take on walks with Bella and Rory 🐶 Since I have moved to St Albans, as much as I love it I really really miss my dogs! I was suggested Rover by my brother who also loves dogs and lives in St Albans - it sounds like the perfect opportunity for me to share my love for dogs by helping people who need their own dogs looking after!

Sophie and her partner immediately made Ezra feel at home and took great care of him during his stay. Regular updates and pictures put our mind at rest. We would highly recommend Sophie and hope to leave Ezra in her care again soon.
Sophie and Will were fantastic sitters that made us feel at ease leaving Monty with them right from the start. Monty had a great stay and we got updates and pics which we loved! We will definitely be using them again.
Thank you Sophie for looking after Beanie so well. She was happy and relaxed when I picked her up and she hopes to see you again Our handover and pick up arrangements were perfect
Sophie is fantastic- Alfie had a wonderful time with her. Lovely walk and she kept me updated on how he was doing. He looks forward to seeing her again soon!

We have 2 dog friendly balconies in our flat (will attach picture of the balcony)! We also live about a 2 minute walk from a small park but there is also Clarence Park which is a bigger park about a 5-10 minute walk away from our flat. I am able to take the dog out every hour if needs as I have a very flexible working schedule.

Information Sophie M. would like to know about your pet
As much information as possible about the dog prior to the board would be brilliant! I can account for all different types of dogs. Bella one of our family pets is very shy and the vet told us she had a mild form of autism. If your dog is shy / nervous / anxious around other dogs or even humans I do have experience with this so just let me know! If you can also let me know the usual dog walk length you go on, when they get fed and how often they need to go outside for potty that’d be very helpful!
A typical day
I love walking and exploring and playing with dogs! Clarence Park is a good sized park for a good thorough dog walk with plenty of space to play. If the dog prefers a shorter walk then the park by my house would be perfect for a 20-30 minute walk or shorter if needs!

Availability
As I mentioned above, I work from home with no real obligation to head into the office! If I ever go in it’s on a Wednesday or Thursday but this is really whenever I decide to go in and at the moment that is about once a fortnight. So I spend a lot of my time at home in my flat. I like to go out on a walk every day so this the perfect opportunity for me to take a dog with me too!
