Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently on maternity leave and have made the decision to leave my previous job so I can be as present as possible for my baby. This means I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, administering lots of cuddles, or simply keeping your pets company, I can easily adapt to their usual routine. I understand how important consistency is for your furry friend, so I’m happy to work around their individual needs to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while you’re away.

I offer pet care in the owner’s home as well as dog walking, and I always make sure I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding, exercise, playtime, toilet breaks, and any specific care instructions such as medication or special dietary needs. I understand how important consistency is for all animals, so I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and settled in their own environment. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and stimulation depending on what they enjoy, whether that’s walks, play, or simply companionship. Being flexible and available means I can provide reliable, attentive care and regular updates, giving owners peace of mind that their pets are happy and well looked after.

A typical day
I love making sure every pet has fun in a way that suits their personality. For cats, that might mean interactive play with their favourite toys, chasing feather wands or laser toys, puzzle feeders, or simply spending quality time giving them attention and affection if that’s what they enjoy. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks tailored to their energy levels, playing fetch or tug, and giving them plenty of opportunities to explore safely. I also love incorporating basic training and enrichment into playtime to keep them mentally stimulated. Most importantly, I take the time to get to know each pet. Some are full of energy and love to play, while others are happiest with a cuddle and a quiet companion. I’m always happy to adapt to their individual needs to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and having fun while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I have grown up with pets my entire life. From cats and dogs to rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and spiders! My love for my animals is like no other. As soon as I left home I knew I needed to fill that dog sized hole in my life, I now have two crazy cockapoos, four rabbits and a hamster called Dora! My friends and family are always making bets on what pet I will be getting next!

She was taught how to love and care for them and every single person that knows her would trust their most precious pet to be in her care. I don't think I've ever met someone with as much love for animals than Sophie. She goes above and beyond to make sure animals are well looked after and cared for. She has two dogs and three rabbits who have the best possible life. She has an extremely gentle and caring personality and is very reliable and trustworthy. I wouldn't trust anybody other than Sophie to look after my dog when we go away.
