I am looking to build a regular base of dogs I walk and look after to fit around current part time work and studying. I update my calendar regularly to reflect this.

I have a fenced back garden and plenty of room in the house and comfortable areas for your pets to make themselves at home. There are also vast areas of green space and a country park nearby to walk your dogs.

Information Sophie L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has specific preferences for treat types/dietary requirements, any special behaviours I should know about or signals they'll give when they're feeling anxious and ways you work around these. I do have children at home who all love dogs and enjoy coming out on walks with me and playing with them too but please let me know if this is not suitable and that you would rather they were walked alone ahead of booking time so that I can work this to my schedule. I ask for all of this so that I can help to be an integral part of their comfort while they're away from their families and ensure they have a positive experience with me.
A typical day
I'm very much an outdoor lover and love going to forests and lochsides and big riverside walks. I live very close to castle semple loch and muirshield country park too which are local favourites. On warmer days, mornings at the beach are the norm so that your dog can play in the cool water, run along stones and sand and have fun using all their senses. I love to make sure your dog enjoys his/her time with me and looks forward to the next time they see me as I treat them as if they were my own.

Pet care experience
So happy to be back on rover after taking a break with life getting in the way (for those recognising my reviews are from two years ago). I currently work in mental health within the NHS while also studying part time but have years of experience looking after family dogs growing up, dog walking, sitting and boarding for friends, neighbours, family and to local owners. I'm back to Rover to begin walking more regularly as nothing fulfills me more than getting outdoors in all weathers and without being able to have a dog of my own for the moment, I'm taking this opportunity to combine my love of looking after and being around dogs and pets and the outdoors. I enjoy hikes and being outside in all weathers so much, and find so much joy in it having canine companions as I explore. I'm used to working with medium to large dogs and on occasion small dogs and am comfortable with all. I can lone work with your dog/dogs if they only work well with each other and ensure they're still getting outside and looked after. • I like to send an update and check-in with you at the start and end of the walk so you know what they've been up to and where they've been to for the day. • I'm more than happy to work with your training style if you've got a puppy to ensure consistency in development and progression • I have worked with reactive dogs, including rescues and do my best to ensure they're not overstimulated or triggered and have an enjoyable experience to build trust, feel cared for and safe properly
Reviews
My dog was looked after from Sophie and I was extremely pleased with the service ! Would fully reccomend for pet care as Sophie was so helpfull, communication was good and sorting out the period of care was easy ! Dog returned happy as I left him and there was no issues atol ! Thanks again Sophie
Sophie looked after my disabled dog during the week due to work demands. My dog has dementia, eye problems and isn’t the easiest of dogs to handle at times. Sophie showed a wide range of knowledge and experience and nothing was too much hassle. There was lots of updates on taking my dog lovely walks to the beach and fussing over him. Great communication throughout and pre and post. I felt very safe leaving my dog with Sophie as it’s often a worry leaving him with anyone due to his nature. He also can have accidents and this was not an issue. Cent praise Sophie enough and her kind hearted care given to my elderly old boy. Thank you so much can’t wait to book again
Sophie from the first message to present has been amazing. She always spoils my two dogs and they come back happy and spoiled. I work shifts and sometimes can’t be back early due to my job for emergency services. Sophie has been amazing at helping with walking my two dogs and accommodating for this. She treats my two dogs as if they were her own. Always spoiling them and taking them fun places and updating me with photos. One of my dogs requires medication and again Sophie has been really helpful with these and nil issues with administration. Time and time again I’ve used Sophie and trust her with my two more than I do family she’s a life saver. Highly recommend her for your hairy babies
Sophie provided a great home boarding service for BOTH of my dogs for a long weekend to allow me to go on a family holiday. I couldn't recommend Sophie's services enough. She had provided a safe and fun environment and went above and beyond for both dogs needs. As both dogs are large breeds, Sophie had great knowledge and confidence whilst handling them both. My dogs loved being with Sophie and she was so patient and attentive as both dogs can be very different. I was given very frequent photos and updates of their adventures. I would love to book Sophie again if possible.
