I am a passionate animal lover, having had dogs all my life, and now repeat boarders who I make sure always have a lovely time! Friday bookings are from 4pm onwards due to work commitments. We have experience caring for dogs at all stages of life, including those with medication/conditions that require more care and attention. My husband & I have always had larger, energetic dogs so understand how to meet their exercise and mental stimulation needs.

Barney had another great stay with Sophie and her partner. Barney was well looked after and he loved his forest walks. We loved getting updates and his pictures , he looked like he has the best time. Barney will definitely be back again to stay. Thankyou so much again.

Barney had a great time with Sophie and her partner. We met with Sophie and her partner the week before Barney stayed so he could meet them both and be familiar with the house, which we thought was a great idea and made us feel at ease leaving our boy for the first time ever. Barney took to them both instantly. It was great to get regular updates and pictures of Barney when we were away, he looked like he had the best time with walks and lots of cuddles. I would definitely recommend Sophie and her partner, Barney is looking forward to his next stay soon. Thankyou again.

Luna had a great time with Sophie over the weekend and settled in very quickly. We had a meet and greet a few days before so that Luna could familiarise herself with Sophie and her partner as well as the house and she took to them instantly. They were both keen to understand Luna’s needs and routine to make her stay as comfortable as possible for her. I would book again for sure
My dog Albie had a great stay with Sophie. I got regular updates and Albie looked like he had a fab time. Sophie made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her, and nothing was a hassle at all for her and her partner. Would definitely book another stay 🐶 thanks so much 😊

Schedule
Most weekends we are free, and have time to take boarders from Friday evenings after work commitments. I - Sophie - am a full time teacher, looking to dog sit/day care on weekends and during the holidays where I can help owners and fuss over some lovely animals.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large fenced garden, with gates at both ends and plenty of grass. Our home had one set of stairs that should be manageable for most. We also live close to a wonderful nature walk, where we can take animals out for 5k walks and they can sniff to their hearts desire.
A typical day
Living by the ‘Ducks Walk’ - Gartcosh Nature Reserve - we are able to give dogs as long or short a walk as they need in a lush forest.

- We are more than comfortable with assisting dogs who are elderly, and need a little more TLC. We also love getting out and about, so are happy to have energetic dogs too. Please note we will never let dogs off leash on walks, and will not fulfil this if it is requested, for the safety of your dog.
