I grew up on a remote farm, so animals have always been part of my everyday life. From dogs and cats to sheep, chickens and even rats, I’ve been hands on with it all, whether that’s lambing, raising puppies or hatching chicks. I genuinely love being around animals and tend to bond quickly with them, no matter their personality. Over the years, my husband and I have owned a range of pets myself, including dogs, rats and cats - all with very different temperaments. From a reactive rescue Rottweiler (now passed), to a laid-back Pointer, to my current high-energy Dobermann, I’ve developed a well-rounded understanding that every dog is different and that’s completely okay! I have specific experience caring for elderly dogs, including administering medication and managing more complex needs such as incontinence from my late Rottie. On top of that, dog training is a big part of my routine, I put a lot of weight into my animals being well trained and well mannered. My husband and I attend training sessions multiple times a week, so I’m confident handling dogs at different stages, from pooches with basic manners to more challenging behaviours.

Sophie has cared for my pets on and off for years, she is always respectful of my property and attentive to my cat. She always went above and beyond even making sure I had milk to come back to in my fridge! My cat was happy, fed and cuddled - cant ask for more.
Sophie is a lovely person so caring and respectful and reliable you know your little darling is in safe hands and will come on time. She will go above and beyond from cleaning up miss haps to make sure your house is safe. All of her visits come with updates of how things are going and very quick to respond. I would use her again and again when I go travelling to look after my 3 working pointerdors.
Sophie is a dog lover who is incredibly patient and calm with every dog she has had or worked with. She has actively engaged in multiple dog learning classes meaning she is amazing at handling pooches of any energy level adjusting walk lengths and routes to keep them happy and well exercised. She also keeps them enriched with kongs, scent work and play. In my opinion you can trust her 100% with your pets and only have too look to how friendly, calm and well trained her two dogs are to see how well your dog would be treated.

Schedule
During the week my husband and I work full time mon-fri with one work from home day - so would only offer weekend boarding as I would want to make sure I was around as much as possible. We are up at 6.30 to feed, play and walk my dogs before work they then have 2 visits from a dog walker while at work and another walk and training session when we get home before dinner, so you could say our life revolves around them. We put alot of weight into having well mannered and trained pets so daily training is always a non negotiable for us - you may say we are strict dog parents but ours thrive on the rouine and boundries we provide, and if you are happy for them to join in, your dog will too! (May even teach them a trick or 2 while you are away!)

My world revolves around my dog, and yours would be no different, I will send updates and snippets of their day and what we get up to. We own our home, I have a high fenced garden and live in a very friendly neighborhood surrounded by parks. I have 2 resident crate trained dogs who love to play and 3 local parks within walking distance. If boarding at your home, rest assured I have previously been DBS checked and im happy looking after any tasks you need to while in your home such as watering plants, I even worked as a cleaner for a time so you home will be just as you left it.
Pets
A typical day
I work a typical 9-5, with one WFH day each week, so my dogs stay home and we have a dog walker pop in for them. If house sitting, I would be around until 8.30am and from 6pm in the evening. I would need owners to organise a pop in at lunchtime or care during the day if needed. If boarding, i would be around day with the odd few hours out and about doing my usual weekend bits and bobs. My weekends are usually pretty chill, revolving around a nice dog walk, some good food and decompression time from the working week.
