Hi! I’m Sophie and I absolutely LOVE animals. I grew up with dogs, currently foster cats, and have hands-on experience volunteering in shelters and working in both doggy daycares and a cat-only boarding facility. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and working on Rover for the past four years has given me the ability to meet the most amazing animals (and humans!) I know how hard it is to leave your pets at home while you’re away as I’ve had to do it many times in my own life. I’ve been housesitting for years and find great joy in keeping your pet comfortable, happy, and on their same routine. I send lengthy updates and lots of pictures so you feel connected the entire time, and I’m more than happy to accommodate any needs during the visit. The comfort and happiness of the pet is my top priority, so truly nothing is ever too much!

When it comes to my pet care practices, I strive to ensure your pets’ normal routine is followed as closely as possible so they experience a seamless (and enjoyable) walk/visit. Both cats and dogs alike require someone with calm and respectful energy when entering their space. I have experience working with animals that love people immediately and animals that take a while to warm up, so any tips you have to make sure they’re comfortable in my presence is essential.

This was our second booking with Sophie and she has continued to demonstrate that she actually cares and love our animals. Without a doubt book with Sophie, even if she is busy she will do her absolute best to make something work!
Our two dogs love Sophie so much that when we went away for 3 weeks we booked Sophie because we knew our boys wouldn’t even miss us.

I can’t even begin to say enough wonderful things about Sophie, she stayed at our house with the dogs while we were out of town for 10 days and did an amazing job. She sent so many amazing pictures and videos so we knew how they were doing. We were out of town over Halloween and she even got candy for the trick or treaters to hand out. We are hoping to use her again for anytime we need to leave the pups to go out of town.
Sophie is wonderful with my bernedoodle. She is very communicative, pays attention to details, and makes my dog feel so safe as we work through separation anxiety training.
Sophie is truly a pro when it comes to pet sitting. She provides awesome updates, ensures the best care for your animals, and brings up any concerns regarding your pets health during her stay. She also ensures that any schedules your pets are used to is met, and is comfortable with providing them their daily vitamins or medications. Sophie took such great care of our two rescues that they are still looking around the house and expecting her to come back so they can get more pets. Thank you for treating our pets as one of your own!

Schedule
After spending a year focusing solely on petsitting, I just recently accepted a job at a hospital working part time. I’d love to see if my schedule would permit me walking your dog, dropping in on your pets, or pet sitting while you’re away. Reach out to me and we can try to figure something out!
