I would love to love your pets!
Hello! If booking boarding, please note I do have a high energy 1 year old puppy in my house - very friendly and will want to play. If your pup is not a fan of that, we may not be the best fit at the moment! Pet sitting is a dream job of mine and I have loved my time with Rover so far. I have owned dogs my whole life and have always been an animal person. I will treat your pet as if they are my own, and they usually win over my heart very quickly :) I live with my partner who is also a huge animal person and has worked in a shelter, zoo, and wildlife rehabilitation center and helps me out with Rover sits, so he can be a new friend for your pet as well! We adopted a puppy, Pepper, last October who loves playing and hanging out with other dogs. If your dog would like a puppy friend, she would love to have them! So far she has had a great time with our guests.

Sophie was an amazing help while we were gone for two weeks. The daily check-ins and pics were so sweet and it was a relief to see the oftentimes-shy kitties cuddling with her. Even our cockatiel got plenty of time out of her cage and loved getting the pics of “Birdman” on Sophie’s head! Not everyone has experience with it or the interest to learn how to handle and bond with a bird but when Sophie was unsure of something she would be proactive and reach out for tips and advice and it sure seemed to work. The dog was happy when we returned but not TOO happy which leads me to believe she had a great time while we were away. The house was in order, garbages taken out, and laundry done so that we could return late at night and get ourselves to bed quickly. We would definitely hire Sophie again for housesitting.
Sophie took great care of our pets and our home! She communicated well and we will rebook her when we need a house sitter!

Schedule
I work full time in Madison (partially remote, partially in person). If boarding, my partner will be home to let out the dogs while I’m at work. For house sitting, there will be a couple days during the week that I’d need to be gone the full work day, if your pup is used to that.

I always make sure that we go on plenty of walks and play some catch or tug in our fenced-in yard to get that energy out if need be. I’m flexible and make sure to pay attention to the pet’s needs, comfort level, energy level, etc. when interacting with them. I make sure to spend as much time with them as possible so they don’t feel lonely!

A typical day
We are lucky to have a fully fenced yard, so we love to run and play outside. We also always go for 2 walks a day to explore beyond the fence. I always like to spend time cuddling on the couch with the fur balls as well!
