I’m currently working part-time at my partner’s mobile food company, this is mostly weekend work so I find my weekdays are free. I believe this fits perfectly for when people are at work and need their dogs to be walked throughout the day.

Unfortunately, I no longer offer dog sitting. However, if your dog was to come to my home, I have a secure garden with 6ft brick walls and lots of bushes for them to play in (our dog loves it!). When walking, I will always keep your dog on the lead for security reasons. Especially as I will not be a familiar face to start off with.

Please let me know if your dog is on any medication, I’m very used to administering this as my late Cocker Spaniel suffered with kidney disease and was on 3-4 different kinds of medication twice a day.
A typical day
If I am to walk your dog near to where I live, there are endless walks along the coast. I particularly love the route along the Leas leading to Sandgate. Also, if your dog is confident around other dogs, I can bring my pup to join in and they can be buddies. In the Folkestone area there are a number of dog-friendly parks with secure fencing where your dog can be let off the lead to let off some extra energy by playing fetch.

Pet care experience
After being made redundant from my corporate job, I knew I wanted to work with dogs as they bring so much joy and happiness into our lives. Since then I have walked and dog sat for the local area. For years before my redundancy, I have looked after the dogs of friends and family. Whether it be for a week while they’re on holiday or just the odd day here and there. I love going for long walks and making sure the dogs are having the best day. I’ve been lucky enough to have the majority of people around me to be dog owners, this has allowed me to gain a lot of experience even though it is not in a professional background. I have experience in looking after puppies to the older lemons and also rescues. In October last year I adopted a dog from Bosnia. It has been the most rewarding experience and he has become the best boy in the world. He has taught me how to confidently gain a dogs trust when they are anxious in new situations. I really look forward to meeting you and your wonderful dog.

Sophie is one of the most caring, kind-hearted, dog loving people I know. She always takes the time to stop and talk to every dog she sees to give them as much attention as she can. I would 100% trust her with my dog Frank who is my absolute world, there aren't many people I would like to leave him with, so this speaks volumes. Dog sitting for some people is just a job, but for Sophie, this is a true passion that she will absolutely excel at. Sophie has to be one of the biggest animal lovers I know. I’ve seen first hand how great she is at caring for mine and my partner’s dog Millie and I know for certain she would care for any one else’s pet with just as much love and devotion.
As a family we have always been animal lovers and Sophie is no exception to this rule, from an early age she always found time for any animals; from horse riding as a young child to dog sitting for friends and family whenever she has the opportunity. This caring trait really blossomed when getting our first family dog, Sophie quickly showed us that she was more than capable of taking full care of all aspects of our dogs welfare. As parents we feel that Sophie will be an asset to anyone looking for dog care.
