A typical day
I always want to ensure a dog is fulfilled by the outdoors, giving time for sniffing, playing & getting their paws a little wet! I live near a dog park if your dog is social, but there are lots of quiet spots around me if they prefer te be in their own little world. I also enjoy running, so if your pet has the energy for a steady trail run, let me know!

I have 16 years of dogsitting experience, caring for pets in Whistler BC, New Zealand, Australia, and England. I previously volunteered with WAG animal shelter in Whistler, where I walked and socialized dogs of different temperaments and energy levels. I’ve looked after many breeds and sizes (I grew up with English Labradors), and I am confident handling large and high-energy dogs (giant, slobbering Mastiff? No problem!). I also have experience with young puppies and understand the patience & attention they require. My goal is always to make dogs feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. Sophie provided a last minute doggy daycare for our dog Gus when we were in Whistler! Great communication and Gus enjoyed his day. Will book Sophie again when we are back in town.
Sophie is a gem, and wonderful with our pups! One of our pups is a bit anxious and she warmed to Sophie in no time. She made me feel so comfortable leaving my girls in her care. Appreciated all the photo updates too! Will definitely get Sophie when we come back to Whistler!
We had one very contented spaniel when we got back. Quick and clear responses from Sophie, friendly and engaging.
Sophie was great with our 95 lbs, Doberman Rottweiler guard dog (who is actually a gentle giant). He went with her happily, and came home tired and content. She sent photo updates and extended his stay at the last minute when something came up. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again!
