Hi i’m Sophie! 👋🏼 I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. My journey began with my own family dog, Kobi, a big-hearted 60kg German Shepherd. I was closely involved in his daily care, including walks, feeding, playtime, training basics, and of course plenty of cuddles. I went to university and continued my love for dogs by volunteering through a local dog sitting and walking platform. During this time, I cared for several dogs including a German Shepherd, Bulldog, Labrador, and Golden Retriever. My responsibilities ranged from overnight stays and house sitting to drop-in visits and daily walks. Looking after these dogs was probably the highlight of my university experience. 😆 Over the years, my family and I became well known in our village as big dog lovers, and we began receiving regular requests from local families to dog sit. We have since cared for dogs from five different families. As I work from home, I was always closely involved, providing consistent company, playtime, and attentive care. On a personal level, friends and their families have got to know truly how much I love dogs, and I have also provided dog sitting and drop-in visits for multiple friends’ dogs. While my family isn’t quite ready to welcome another dog, we absolutely love having them around and treating them like part of the family. I particularly love offering pet care services like this because I understand how difficult it can be to leave your dog, if just for the day, or how heartbreaking it can feel to drop them off at kennels whilst you’re travelling, and how much worry that can cause. Being able to offer an alternative where dogs can stay in their own familiar environment, or at least be with a trusted person who is consistently there for them means a great deal to me. I love building bonds with every dog I meet and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! ❤️
