Hi! Leaving your furry family member with someone else can be nerve-wracking. I get it. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as your fur baby after finding the perfect patch of sunshine. I grew up in a home that fostered animals, so wagging tails, zoomies, muddy paws, and the occasional "Who stole the sock?" mystery have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Caring for animals until they found their furever homes gave me experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and quirks. Why your pet might enjoy staying with me: 🐾 A calm, quiet, low-stress home. 🌳 Daily outdoor walks and adventures. 🎓 A Dog Emotion and Cognition certificate from Duke University (yes, I took homework about dogs very seriously). 💊 Over 10 years as a pharmacy technician, so medications don't intimidate me. 🚐 Experience working in a boarding kennel—and I even drove a dog shuttle! 🌿 Only non-toxic cleaning products. No smoking. No artificial air fresheners. 🧀 I always pay the cheese tax. It's the law. Whether your pet is an energetic explorer, a professional napper, or convinced they're actually a tiny wolf, they'll be treated like one of the family while they're here.

Can’t thank Sophie enough for watching our dog Duke! She was willing to help us out last minute and gave our dog a great weekend. She sent consistent updates about his paw-cation which really eased our stress leaving him since he can get anxious; it was a true testament that he was fine in her care. I truly have nothing but great things to say about Sophie - definitely recommend choosing her if you are looking for someone who will truly care about your pet.
Sophie did an excellent job watching my puppy, Kipo. She was very communicative, attentive to Kipo's needs, and send multiple updates through the day. She even washed Kipo's paws to remove dirt and salt after her walk. I could tell when I picked her up that Kipo had a wonderful stay and really took to Sophie.

Schedule
I mostly work from home, so this gives me flexibility. I exercise outside every day, hopefully this can be done with your pet. Otherwise, I'm a homebody!

I live in a pet friendly neighborhood with lots of space to walk. There is also a off-leash dog park nearby. Je parle Francais aussi.
A typical day
I bring the dogs out about 4 times a day. (3 x 10 mins sniffing walks and 1 fast walk about 45 mins) I can bring the dogs to an off-leash dog park, or take then on a hike (Depending on the dog's needs). I can even bring small dogs paddleboarding. Some dogs love playing hide and seek inside the home.
