I’ve grown up around Labradors and horses, so I’m very comfortable with active, outdoor-loving animals and understanding different temperaments, energy levels, and routines. At home, I have two dachshunds and one cat, so I’m very used to managing a multi-pet household and the balance that comes with different personalities, feeding routines, and individual needs. Having dachshunds has given me plenty of experience with more sensitive, quirky, and sometimes needy dogs, so I’m confident in providing calm, patient care and adapting to each dog as an individual rather than a “one size fits all” approach. I also have experience supporting puppies with structure and consistency, as well as senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra reassurance, and careful attention to comfort and routine. Above all, I focus on creating a calm, familiar environment so pets feel settled, safe, and understood while their owners are away.

I care for each pet as an individual and always follow their normal routine as closely as possible to ensure they feel safe, settled, and comfortable while their owners are away. Before any booking, I will always ask detailed questions about your pet’s routine, behaviour, preferences, and any specific needs so I can provide consistent care that mirrors what they are used to at home. I also arrange a meet and greet with all new clients and their pets beforehand, so everyone can feel comfortable and confident before the stay or visit begins. Whether in your home or mine, I prioritise calm, respectful care and always follow owner instructions closely to maintain safety, trust, and routine.

Sophie was amazing! She stepped in at the last minute after we were let down, looking after our 3 pooch babies while we attended a wedding. Sophie came to meet the dogs hours after she returned from being on holiday and I have to say, they all loved her immediately. Sophie provided a stress free 10 days for us taking care of our 2 Dachshunds and 1 cat at our house whilst our family went on holiday. Our dogs mean everything to us and Sophie gets that. Even after an initial meet and greet she traveled over a 2nd time to acompony us on a long walk. It was the 1st time using someone from rover or someone we did not know. We met other people too but Sophie was an instant yes. Owning 2 Dachshunds herself she knows they arnt just another dog. Sophie. Sent us pics and updates throughout the holiday and made what was initially a nervous thing for us completely easy and stress free. We returned to a clean tidy clean sheets home. Just what the doctor ordered. If you need someone to take care of your dogs or pets in your home put Sophie to the top of your list. Thank you so much Sophie!!

Wonderful dog sitter. Followed our exact instructions from start to finish from walking schedule to feed times and ensure the dogs settled with her. She sent us lots of photos while we were missing our babies and made sure we were comfortable the whole time we were away. I would recommend her whole heartedly.
Sophie house sat for us a few times now, our dogs are always well cared for and we get regular updates why we are away. The dogs absolutely love when she comes to stay with them.

Schedule
I work from home online, which gives me a flexible daily routine and allows me to plan my schedule around the pets in my care. This means I am able to provide regular walks, toilet breaks, feeding, and companionship throughout the day, rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I build my day around the needs of each booking, so care is consistent, calm, and tailored to each pet’s usual routine.
