I felt confident leaving our pets in Sophia’s care from the jump. Sophia seemed attentive to my care instructions upon meeting, as well as attentive upon our departure to my written instructions. I appreciated the updates with photos, and it seemed as though the dogs and my chinchilla were very comfortable with Sophia. My main concerns come from the following: - Sophia departed two hours prior to the booking agreement without telling me. When addressed, she stated that her profile mentions she works M-F “normal working hours”, however I had no idea this would impact the departure time, a time chosen specifically so that our pets weren’t alone too long. Sophia should have adjusted the booking time with me so we were on the same page. - I prepared specific enrichment items for the dogs, enough for the ~ 2 days we would be gone, as well as two brand new bags of treats. I found a day old lick mat wrapped up in my dogs blankets with dried yoghurt. This was not one of the enrichment food items I provided. Sophia gave my dog, who is allergic to dairy, yogurt from our fridge without checking with me first. Luckily it is a mild allergy, when I confronted Sophia I was told I should have told her about his allergies. I would have never imagined in only roughly 2 days that the 8 enrichment food items and cookies wouldn’t be enough. Sophia mentioned him barking frequently, though I explained in my notes he will do this for specific things, such as needing to be let out to poop if he does not stop , or his nightly dental chew and I’m unsure this was followed. - I stressed during our meet and greet that my chinchilla Mochi tries to nibble on the plastic items he has out in his play pen area, and that he can play but not to let him chew on it as it isn’t good for him. He has an enclosure and spends time once a day in his play pen supervised. Some are small plush items with small plastic coated tags, he can play with supervised in his play pen. When I returned home, I find one of the play pen toys with plastic coated tags inside his enclosure, tag completely eaten. When I mentioned this to Sophia I was told I didn’t provide written instructions stating not to let him have this in his enclosure. I believe this is common sense when I stressed not to allow him to chew on plastic. I was ready to give Sophia 5 stars and a rave review before arriving home, as I felt at ease with the updates and photos, however these listed issues are very serious; two of which can make my animals sick, and one of which that was a misrepresentation of available hours. I do not believe this should deter someone from booking with Sophia. We did have a rather unconventional set up with crate rotating my foster dog, who also needed several medications, which I believe were given. I do hope she learns from the mistakes made in this house sit, instead of “passing the buck” and insinuating fault of the pet parents.

Sophia was super helpful taking care of our extremely anxious German Shepherd. She communicated with me very well and took her time to work with him. We are so grateful Lalo had a new friend he could hang out with :)

Sophia took great care of our anxious dog and left our house neat and tidy. Will definitely be booking her in the future!

Sophia took great care of my two senior dogs while I was traveling. She communicated every day and provided pictures which I greatly appreciated. She was easy to deal with, took great care of my house, and communicated consistently. Have a reliable, responsible person who also loves your pets as much as you do is wonderful and gives peace of mind. Will definitely book her again!

Sophia is so great! She stayed in perfect communication with us, and put a ton of effort into ensuring that our kitty was cared for. We appreciated knowing that she was a kind and consistent presence while we were away. Thank you, Sophia!

Sophia was super sweet to zilla. Our little chihuahua is full of anxiety and it was clear she was comfortable with Sophia.
