I would make sure they have water and an adequate amount of food. I also ensure their litter box is cleaned if it is a cat. If it were a dog I would take them out for a walk or into to back yard for them to go to the bathroom.

I currently have a dog and a cat I am responsible for caring for. I take care of my cat full-time and the dog I take care of when I go home. I am responsible for feeding them and cleaning up after them. My dog I will take on walks and play with her.
