Hi, I’m Sophia :) I’ve been dog sitting for 10 years and have worked with all kinds of dogs, different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I know how hard it can be leaving your dog with someone new; so I’m very intentional about creating an environment where both you and your dog feel completely comfortable + have an understanding of the care your dog is in. I give extra attention on the first day to help your dog settle in calmly and adjust at their own pace and I feel like this is SO important. I maintain a consistent, structured routine throughout the day with time for rest, meals, play, and enrichment. I’m very in tune with each dog’s energy and meet them where they’re at, whether they need more activity, more rest, or just a calm presence. I’m home all day, so your dog will have constant supervision, attention, and companionship. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so I can give each one my full focus and care. Dogs are welcome on all furniture here, I want them to feel completely at home. I keep a very calm, clean, and intentional space. All bedding is washed between dogs, and any crates used are fully cleaned and sterilized between each stay. I naturally have a very mindful, calm, and positive approach to life, and that carries into how I care for animals. I pay close attention to their behavior, their comfort, and even subtle changes, so I can respond to what they need right away. I focus a lot on creating a low-stress, grounded environment where dogs can truly relax. I also offer training support at no extra cost. I have experience with obedience, clicker training, reactivity, house training, and crate training using positive reinforcement. I’m experienced with administering medication, including insulin injections and eye drops, and have cared for dogs with diabetes and other special needs. I’m very attentive when it comes to health, routines, and consistency. You’ll receive regular updates and photos while you’re away so you always feel connected and at ease. I also send each dog home with a small goodie bag :) and I’m happy to share a quick summary at the end of each stay with anything I noticed and how they did. I also offer complimentary bathing and light grooming before your dog goes home if you’d like. At the end of the day, I really just care about dogs feeling safe, understood, and a little bit spoiled while they’re here.
