My name is Sophia and I am a lover of all animals and a full time exclusive pet caregiver for over 10 years in the Baltimore region. It is truly my passion to provide exceptional and personalized one-on-one pet care for families in an era where kennels, boarding facilities, and multi-client sitters have left many owners traumatized and feeling hopeless in their options. I understand that leaving a piece of family behind whether it be for vacation or work is always difficult, my goal is to be a safe haven of comfort for families- providing the peace and ease of always knowing your pet is safe and will be cared for as if they were my own whilst in my home. Through a safe and comforting environment where they do not share space with other animals, dedicated & loving hands on care, detailed in-depth updates and plenty of cute photos of their day to day, I am here to be your pets favorite secondary home when they can’t accompany your travels😊 I am currently studying to obtain certificates in IV Companion Animal Services as well as Dog Training, I also volunteer regularly at my local SPCA & take in rescues on fostering basis which has provided me in-depth knowledge of animal behaviors and their needs for all breeds and ages. With how long I’ve been a pet caregiver I’ve really experienced it all at this point in terms of temperaments, behaviors, breeds, and quirks, which means I am equip to handle it all! I have extensive experience with different medical conditions so I am fully trained to facilitate and fulfill specific medical regimes including administering shots, giving oral pills, or applying ointments/eyedrops as needed. I am also certified through American Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid Training to provide CPR and first aid in emergency critical situations with a full service Pet First Aid Kit in home. I specialize in reactive/anxious dogs and am recognized for having immense success in mitigating behavioral concerns whilst in my care. Covid pups who are still finding their way, rescues who have histories of abuse, the quirky ones who have a disdain of other humans/dogs/kids, and our separation anxiety worrywarts- I am trained and experienced with all of these behaviors and am able to understand their needs and provide calm and peace with ease. I have years of experience and extensive knowledge of dogs who have specific hygiene needs because of breeding impairment (flat faced/short nosed breeds) and have the experience to maintain strict hygiene needs such as wiping of paw pads, tear ducts, and facial folds and trained in their possible health complications/signs of risk. I am also specialized in providing senior and end of life care for the golden years providing a peaceful secondary home in times of need. Many of these precious pups are in need of strict medical regimes, potty incontinence outings or diaper changing, movement limitations, and feeding assistance- all of which I am fully trained for and able to provide in any frequency or diligence needed or requested. I also have lots of experience with puppies and high energy dogs providing essential mental and physical enrichment through regular structured routines and movement, sensory exploration, and foraging games and stimulation as allowed by owner.
