I am a veterinary student who has interned with veterinarians for five years, volunteered in animal shelter kennels for six years, and cared for dogs since I was in middle school. I am a runner and enjoy taking dogs for long walks and runs, but I also don't mind spending time with dogs with less endurance that prefer to be groomed or played with inside. I am not intimidated by very large dogs, I welcome all sizes! I have experience with dog-reactive dogs, safely restraining animals, some training, and administering medication. I know warning signs to look out for in sick animals and how to care for animals with heat stroke, obstructions, quills, bite wounds, hotspots, and more. I can clean ears, clip toenails, and give baths. As student, I have a somewhat flexible schedule and can care for pets before class, on my lunch breaks, and after class. I also have several veterinarians on speed dial if there ever were to be a health issue with your pet (but hopefully not!).
