I’ve been taking care of pets for 14 years ever since I got my first dog, a high energy golden retriever named Lucy, at nine years old. Since then, friends, neighbors, and roommates have relied on me to walk, water, feed, and play with their pets while they were gone or of town. I’ve sat for senior dogs where, in addition to the aforementioned duties, I administered medications at specific times of day and cleaned up after accidents in the house. I enjoy caring for all types of dogs— energetic, calm, anxious, old, young— and am a big fan of sending regular status updates to pet owners. I ensure to be available by phone 24/7 while sitting and I look forward to taking care of your pets! 🐾

As a pet sitter in your home, I ensure to create a safe and trusting environment by keeping a clean and calm space (no loud noises or mess), adhering to your pet’s regular feeding/medication/ walk schedule, and sending regular photo/message updates if interested :)

I was able to trust Sophia with my little fur baby any time I was out of town! She not only made sure to follow feeding instructions and any special requests like leaving certain windows open or cat TV playing, but somehow even got my super shy cat to play with her! She was very responsive whenever I tried to get in touch with her, and also consistently sent photos and videos of him while I was away even without me asking. Would absolutely recommend!

Schedule
I am currently job searching in the DMV area so I have lots of time for morning, mid-day, and evening walks during the work week or pet sitting while you’re out of town! I work 3:30-5:30 M-F and can come by to care for your pet before or after this time block. I’m available most days and depending on location and my schedule, I am open to booking last minute walks & pet sits:)
