I am a 24 year old Graduate Student at Rutgers University and have been taking care of neighborhood and personal pets since I was 10! Not only have I taken care of animals in a home setting, but I have 2 years of experience in caring for animals in a veterinary setting as a veterinary assistant. I am happy to assist in any sort of special care that your pet might need - I have experience with animals of all shapes and sizes! I currently have two cats of my own that I take care of myself full-time and would love the chance to love your pet as much as you do! For your animal's and my own safety, I do require proof of up-to-date vaccination before booking (primarily Rabies vaccination).

I only offer services that take place in the client's home/neighborhood as I have two animals of my own! I am flexible with walk times and really enjoy nature so I am happy to take dogs for lengthy walks. I am also appreciative of any type of animal love so couch potatoes are great for me as well! I am very diligent about making sure that animals are safe with me. I ensure that when entering the home, I greet the animal gently and let them come to me. I will never push the boundaries of an animal or add stress to their home environment. I also am very detail oriented, and will make sure that your animal gets everything they need.

Sophia is extremely thoughtful and careful with the animals that she cares for. She has extensive experience not only as a pet owner, but working directly with animals in a clinical setting that makes her uniquely prepared to handle any situation that comes up with pets under her care. She has experience with a wide age range of both cats and dogs, and experience watching multiple animals at once. Besides her depth of qualifications, she also clearly loves animals and treats the animals she cares for as her own! I trust Sophia wholeheartedly with my dog, who is a bit shy and takes a while to warm up to people. She is patient and loving and pet owners can be worry free if Sophia is watching their pet!

Schedule
I currently work as a graduate student in a research lab at Rutgers University! I am very flexible and will communicate the exact times I will be caring for your pets :)

- For your animal's and my own safety, I do require proof of up-to-date vaccination before booking (primarily Rabies vaccination). Please let me know if your pet needs any special accomodation/care. I am comfortable walking any type of dog - including those that may need extra patience on the leash. I have experience walking reactive dogs and am comfortable navigating a walk with a reactive dog if you let me know what distractions work best for them! For your feline friends, please let me know their personalities ahead of time. I am happy to cuddle them if that is what they need, but I want to respect their boundaries! If your cat prefers someone who just comes to feed them and say hello, I am happy to do that as well.
