I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I am very active and spend much of the day outdoors. My dog Ripken requires a moderate-high level of exercise and daily training sessions, so we are prepared to meet the needs of your pup, whatever they may be.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a small fenced in yard and a puppy-proofed house ready for your dog to come relax and play! Dogs are allowed on all furniture and plenty of water is provided. We have plenty of space for your dog to wrestle or rest, depending on if they are a social butterfly or more of an introvert.

Information Sophia L. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know what medical and care needs your dog has in advance, whether they require medication or have certain aversions or reactivity to various stimuli. Do they like other dogs? Do strangers make them nervous? Any quirks or favorites I should know about? The more info you provide, the better I can tailor your dog’s experience specifically to their needs!

A typical day

I love to go for walks along the trails near my house- either a short run to get the wiggles out or a long slow “sniff-ari” so your pup can get the lay of the land. We can play tug and fetch in the backyard, then come in and nap in the A/C.

Pet care experience

I have been fostering dogs for 8 years and have a large dog of my own, but I love all furry friends!! We live in a quiet townhouse with a small fenced-in backyard surrounded by lots of trails and parks. I have previously worked in a private boarding facility, caring up to 20 dogs at a time, and distributed medicines, special diets, cuddles, and extra care to dogs of all sizes. I work from home and have fostered 10+ dogs of various ages and backgrounds, helping them all find their forever homes. I have years of dog training experience guiding pups through various behavioral improvements, like potty training, leash aggression, fearful reactivity, and more. I truly have a passion for animals and want to make sure that they are safe and well cared for when their owners are away. I am also an avid runner and know the importance of exercise for your dog (so you can keep giving them all the treats they deserve!) My young GSD is extremely friendly and playful but has good manners and knows when to settle down and give your dog space.

Sophia is such a wonderful sitter. She knows so much about puppies and dog behavior and even went the extra mile to introduce our Gemma to a children's playground so she could get used to kids racing around. She is so patient and kind
