This is my summer job, so I have lots of time during the day to care for your pup! I'm available mostly during the weekdays for walks and drop-ins, and some weekends for dog-sitting, so I am a good fit for you if you need someone to take care/check on your dog during the work day.

I make sure I work with owners to determine how their dog likes to be walked, as well as what is the safest option for them (harness, prong collar, etc.), and I always uphold what the owners have decided. I am comfortable driving with pets in the car as well. I have experience crating dogs as well, if that is something your pup needs.

Let me know if you (or your dog!) have any preferences on how walks, meal times, or drop-ins should go. Please let me know if your pup needs to be in a crate when no one is home, if there is a certain "release" word for meal times, what kind of walking apparatus your dog uses, or if your dog has any fears/anxiety towards people or other dogs.
A typical day
I love to go for long walks around your neighborhood! We'll take our time, allowing your dog to sniff for mental stimulation, as well as physical stimulation tailored to your pup's needs. We'll play fetch, hide and seek, and with their favorite toy. I love coming up with games that stimulate your dog's mind, especially on rainy days. We will have so much fun together!

Pet care experience
I have ample experience dog-sitting, dog walking, and caring for animals. I love learning about dog grooming techniques in my free time. I have experience administering oral medication to dogs, driving with dogs in the vehicle, and basic grooming techniques like bathing, blow-drying, and brushing.

Sophie was a regular sitter for our stubborn and medically complex basset hound Bojangles. (He recently passed, hence the past tense 🌈). She was patient when he needed to sniff every blade of grass, but they made it out for walks every day! She also provided overnight care for Bojangles, and made sure he received his oral and topical medications as prescribed. Beyond pet care, I really appreciated her communication, reaching out with questions, providing updates on visits and walks, etc. After completing each visit, she also changed Bojangles water and left him an enrichment activity, since he struggled with anxiety. She’s a gem and was always greeted with tail wags!
