Unfortunately required to leave my first negative review on Rover. I hate to do it, but it’s necessary in this case. One of my boy cats is required to be separated from the other two when not monitored. Sophia knows this and it’s well documented on their profile. I checked the living room camera around 6AM while on a work trip expecting to just see my cute cats sleeping, but found the cats were not separated as required. Sophia is aware of the camera and it’s also detailed on my profile. Sophia apologized and said the cat “snuck out” while she got water. Since this has never happened before, I spent my evening having to watch the footage back to confirm events, and found that she lied. If it was actually an accident, I wouldn’t have left this review as mistakes do happen. However, Sophia opened the door only to let the cat out of the room, audibly stated “let’s see how ya’ll do,” then immediately closed the door behind the cat without her leaving the room. That cat physically attacked another cat throughout the 9-hour period while the other poor cat screeched out loudly for help. Really hard to watch back. I advised Sophia that I knew she lied and stated what the cameras show, and did not receive an apology from her specifically for the egregious and intentional act of putting my cats in physical danger. This has never happened with any other sitter and all of my cats do well separated into rooms so they could have been rotated if needed as well - the cats were not the issue with this. Very thankful I had the living room camera for proof of everything and that I was able to prevent it from happening the second night by addressing it immediately. Really disappointed and surprised in how this turned out because the prior drop-in visits went well. :(
