Hi! I’m Sophia, a San Diego based dog lover who enjoys spending time outdoors and making sure pups get plenty of exercise, attention, and care. I may not be a full-time professional dog sitter, but I’ve spent years caring for dogs for friends, family, and neighbors. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet I care for. While I can’t host pets in my own home, I offer walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays in your home, where your pet already feels secure and at ease. I live right by Mission Bay in San Diego, so I’m very familiar with safe walking routes and nearby dog-friendly areas. I always use secure leashes/harnesses, stay alert on walks, and follow your pet’s specific routine and energy level. During drop-ins or overnight stays, I make sure your home stays clean, secure, and well cared for, and I’ll keep your pet’s feeding, play, and rest schedule consistent. Building trust is key, so I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and regular communication to keep you at ease while you're away.

We have had Sophia walk our dogs several times and she is great! On time, dependable and our dogs are in perfect shape when we return. She always sends a picture or two as well. I highly recommend!

Sophia was like a second mom to my cat, Luna, throughout our college years! In our shared college household, I could always count on Sophia to give Luna her meals, refresh her water, clean her box, and give her lots of love and attention. Sophia is a natural animal lover and empath! Any pet parent would be lucky to have Sophia care for their pet. :)
Sophia is my first choice when it comes to having someone watch over my cat Franklin when im out of town. My cat Franklin loves having her there when I am gone and I’ve had her care for him countless times! She is very responsible, caring, and has great communication skills so I never have to worry about my baby when I am away from home. I highly recommend her to care for any of your pets, she is very reliable and your animals will be well looked after and loved by her while you are gone! :) she’s amazing!

Schedule
I work remotely full-time on EST hours, so I’m usually free after 3pm on weekdays. That said, I’m also very comfortable working from a client’s home during the day to provide pet care. My job encourages regular breaks, so I can step away for walks, feedings, or check-ins as needed. I’m also an early riser, so I’m happy to help with morning care too. My flexible schedule makes it easy to give your pet the attention they need throughout the day.

- It’s really helpful to know your pet’s daily routine, personality, and any quirks ahead of time! I’d love to learn about: - Feeding schedule and dietary needs - Temperament around new people, other pets, or on walks - Medical conditions, medications, or allergies - Comfort with things like stairs, crates, or being alone - Favorite toys, treats, and calming techniques - Any specific do’s or don’ts you follow The more I know, the better I can keep your pet happy, comfortable, and safe while you're away!
