House Sitting • Oct 01, 2026

Sophia was amazing with my SIX dogs. I was worried they would be so sad when we went on vacation, but they instantly LOVED Sophia. She gave us peace of mind while we were away knowing our babies were in the best hands and happy and healthy. She sent pics every day which made me sooo happy. Highly recommend Sophia! We will absolutely be booking her again

House Sitting • Sep 23, 2026

She was very sweet, and I genuinely believe she had good intentions, but unfortunately this house sitting experience did not fully meet my expectations. I fully understand that house sitting does not mean a sitter will remain in my home 24/7. I expect someone to run errands, and have a life outside of my home. However, I booked house sitting specifically because my dogs are accustomed to me working from home and being out of their crates throughout the day. On Saturday and Sunday, there were extended periods when they were crated and essentially received only brief 20-minute potty breaks before being left again for several hours. Had I wanted drop-in care, I would have booked it and even then, I typically book 3-4 visits per day for a minimum of an hour each. The amount of confinement was especially concerning because one dog urinated on my couch, which has never happened before, the dogs soiled their crate bedding, and I came home to feces left on my kitchen floor beneath the soiled laundry. These were all very unusual circumstances for my dogs. My other major concern was my newest rescue, who has severe rain/thunderstorm anxiety and requires trazodone in advance of storms. I recognize that not everyone is accustomed to caring for a dog with this level of anxiety, and routinely checking the weather in anticipation of medication may not be something every sitter thinks to do. For that reason, I did my best to monitor the forecast myself and send reminders when I could. Unfortunately, despite those efforts, there were two anxiety incidents. During one storm, I saw her on camera extremely distressed and hiding in the bookshelf. On the final day, another storm arrived shortly after the sitter left without her receiving her medication, and I found her on camera having a severe anxiety episode in her crate and covered in stool. After a six-hour trip home, I immediately had to bathe her and clean the crate. My biggest feedback moving forward would simply be transparency. If a house sitter anticipates being away for the majority of the day multiple days, I think owners should know that before booking so they can make an informed decision about whether that arrangement meets their pets’ needs. Likewise, if a pet has needs that require additional monitoring or aren’t part of a sitter’s normal routine, communicating that upfront gives both the sitter and owner an opportunity to determine whether it’s the right fit. She was kind, and I don’t believe there was any bad intent. However, the extended periods my dogs were confined, ultimately made this an unfavorable experience for what I believed I was booking with house sitting.

Sophia is absolutely amazing!! Our dogs love her. She is thorough and made sure we knew if anything changed with our girls. She replied back right away anytime I checked in with her. 1000000/10 would use her again. She made me feel so comfortable leaving our fur babies with her. I can’t thank her or say enough good things!
