Availability
I currently work part-time at a pet and plant store, where I work two 8-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift each week. I’m also a student, but I’m not taking any classes this summer, which gives me plenty of flexibility in my schedule. This means I’m available most days for pet sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, including weekdays and weekends. Pet care fits naturally into my routine—not only because of my work environment, but also because animals are a big part of my life at home. With my open summer schedule and experience, I can reliably provide consistent, attentive care fixed to your pet’s needs.

Safety, trust & environment
When it comes to house sitting, dog walking, and daycare, I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being above all else. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs so I can provide care that’s both consistent and reassuring. For house sitting, I treat your home with respect—keeping it clean, secure, and following all care instructions closely. I make sure pets stay relaxed in their familiar environment and stick to their regular feeding, walking, and play schedules. During dog walks, I always use secure, well-fitting leashes or harnesses and choose routes that are safe and enjoyable. I pay close attention to each dog’s pace, energy level, and behavior, ensuring they get healthy exercise and attention. For daycare, I create a calm and engaging environment where pets can play, rest, and feel loved while you're away. I provide frequent potty breaks and of course, lots of affection. I’m reliable, communicative, and truly care about the pets I work with.
Information Sophia D. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know as much as possible to provide the best experience for you and your pet. This could include their daily routine, energy level, feeding schedule, and any medical needs or medications. I also find it helpful to know about any behavioral quirks—like reactivity to other dogs, nervousness around strangers, or separation anxiety—so I can be prepared and provide the most comfortable care possible. Please let me know if your pet has any allergies, special preferences, or training cues you use at home. Understanding your pet’s personality, likes and dislikes, and comfort zones helps me build trust with them and ensure they feel safe, happy, and understood while you're away.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, engaged, and happy! For dogs, I use different activities dependant on their energy level. For more energetic pups that would include long walks, playtime in the yard, tug-of-war, or a game of fetch. For the more relaxed pups, I’m happy to provide cuddle time, belly rubs, and slow, relaxed walks around the neighborhood. With cats, I enjoy interactive play like feather wands, laser pointers, or anything that they think is fun. I would also make sure they have cozy spots to relax and feel secure.

Loving Care When You’re Not There
Pet care experience
I have been around animals my entire life and have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments. This includes senior dogs, energetic puppies, and everything in between. Over the years, I’ve provided pet care for neighbors, friends, and family, including walking, feeding, and ensuring their pets feel safe and well-loved in their absence. Currently, I have three dogs—two mixed breeds and a German Shepherd—one of whom I’ve raised from a puppy. I also care for a cat, giving me experience with both kittens and adolescent cats. My passion for animals drives me to provide attentive, compassionate care, and I genuinely enjoy making pets feel comfortable, secure, and happy.
