I work as a medical assistant from 8-5:30 Monday to Thursday. On Fridays I’m off at 12:0. I go to the animal shelter for about 2 hours in the afternoons after work but I between this I can come walk your dog!

I don’t have any pets currently I’ve only owned small pets myself. However my experience comes from the animal shelter. I’ve learned how to gain the trust of anxious dogs. How to walk sicker dogs with heart worms. And how to do basic training with puppies including socialization, desensitization (important if they may be around kids), how to walk on a leash, basic tricks.

Please let me know of any behavioral issues your dog may have. Depending on the size I would like to know the situation ahead of time. I don’t mind administering medication.

I’m a runner I don’t mind running with your dog! I know to watch for heat exhaustion and to not let the dog drink too much water after a workout. We can go on trails if needed for the high energy dogs. I can make snuffle mats like I do for the shelter dogs so the dog can be stimulated. If you have a fenced in backyard we can run around and play games together. I can play the same way I play with puppies at the shelter that are being socialized and desensitized.

I am currently a volunteer at the local animal shelter called The Animal League. I clean, walk, and play with dogs of all ages and sizes. I work for free at the shelter because of love being able to help dogs in my community. Most of the money from here will be given back as a donation to the shelter! Some will be used for my gas to get your buddy!

Sophia was incredible. My babies absolutely loved her. She sent me videos & pics. I can’t wait to use her again. I feel like I have found someone that I can trust. I know that if I need her again I don’t have to worry about my fur babies.

Sophia has been an incredible volunteer with our animal shelter and consistently goes above and beyond for the dogs she spends time with. She has experience walking dogs of different sizes and temperaments, handling dogs at busy public events and farmers markets, and taking adoptable dogs on outings to help them gain exposure and confidence. Sophia is patient, responsible, attentive, and truly cares about the wellbeing and happiness of every animal she works with. I would highly recommend her as a loving and dependable caregiver!
Sophia is a kind, passionate, and patient animal lover. She has watched my dogs overnight, popped in for visit, and helped me care for them even when I am home so they can get some exercise. My big dogs ADORE Sophia and light up whenever she comes over. She is patient, understands dog body language, and gives them love and care like her own. She is responsible, responsive, and great to work with.
