I would like to know how the dog is on leash and around other dogs so I will know what to expect when out on a walk. Also if the dog has any medication and when the dog normally eats and where they sleep so I can make sure they are comfortable.
A typical day
I love to go on hikes with dogs, there is a really pretty park behind Simpkins swim center I love to go to. I also like to walk down the harbor and after go to the park so the dog can run around.

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals, especially dogs for around 5 years now on top of my dog Chester. I watch and board dogs at my house with the help of my mom but I feel by taking the next step of doing it on my own. I am reliable in house sitting, walking, feeing, bathing, and giving medication when necessary and making sure the animal is comfortable. I am able to drive so transportation is no issue for me and I can take the dog in a very fun hike somewhere :) I am a student at UCSC studying Technology Informational Technology but grew up here in Santa Cruz. I am here all year long so I am available to help anytime! I am able to drive so transportation is no issue for me. I am very clean, tidy and respectful at others homes. I will make sure the animal is well loved, fed and comfortable

Sophia was great with both pups while we were out of town and our place was kept in good shape. I would rebook her again.
Sophia was awesome! She took care of our home, our plants and our pet! She cared for Cruz like her own and stayed at our home while we were away on vacation for 3 weeks! Her rates were affordable and I could tell she took good care of our home when we returned. Cruz was happy and they went on lots of adventures together. She made sure to send us photos and updates of our happy pup. We were grateful to her for watching our home when we were gone and would be happy to have her stay again.
The experience with this sitter was very unsatisfactory. She left my house unlocked after her last visit, and I fortunately planned to arrive a few hours after. She wrote no feedback upon her visits and the simple task of spending 30 mns with a cat feeding him and cleaning his litter seems to be beyond her competence. She ignored many of request to write a description of how the fat was doing. Only once, she wrote two lines after I texted her a few times and informed her that I was planning to contact Rover. A few photos were not matching the time of the day. Day light photos were sent for visits supposed to be happening after 4:30 and 5:30. I think she didn’t make all the visits, and the dirt left in the litter whitenesses that no cleanup was made for a few days. I worked with other sitters from Rover but this experience is very disappointing. Rover should reconsider its review process of hiring sitters. Not my intended to create issues for the current sitter, but if you are hiring her, you are warned. 1 star.
Our dogs are happy healthy and well cared for!
