In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s routine closely to make sure everything feels familiar and stress-free. I stick to feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions, while also giving lots of playtime and affection. I always keep the home tidy and send updates with photos so owners feel reassured. When pets stay with me, they’re treated like family. I make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and part of my daily routine. That means regular walks, playtime, cuddle breaks, and a cozy space to relax. I keep their routines consistent so they feel right at home.

I hired Sophia for house-sitting from May 15–17, 2026 to care for my cat, who has separation anxiety and displays destructive behaviors when left alone for too long. I specifically booked for continuous care rather than drop-in visits. Throughout the evening, I received multiple messages stating that she was on her way or almost at my home, but the arrival time continued to be pushed back. The explanations I received later were inconsistent, and I was ultimately unable to determine when—or if—she would actually arrive. After our agreed upon arrival time passed and Sophia still had not arrived (I know because I have cameras in my home), my cat had already been alone longer than planned, and I no longer felt confident that reliable care would be provided. I had to scramble to find emergency backup care, and my family members left their home late at night to care for my cat. Rover reviewed the situation and refunded the booking. While I understand that emergencies and delays can happen, clear communication and reliability are essential when someone is responsible for a pet’s welfare. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable booking with Sophia again.
Sophia is wonderful. She is such an authentic, kind and responsible dog lover. My dog can be very anxious and after being with Sophia for 10 days, I think she prefers her to me! lol. My Winnie was following her around, giving her kisses and rubbing up on her for love...it usually takes a long time for her to build this kind of trust. Im so thankful Sophia was there when I was away. She also left the house so clean, even changed the sheets! Frequent communication and pictures, walks and med administration..Sophia did it all. So grateful!!!
Sophia had great communication with me before, during and after her stay. My pup was THRILLED with her and I'm sure that's because she was given love and attention. My instructions for the home were followed perfectly and it was left in pristine condition. I would definitely book with Sophia again!
Sophia was wonderful, she took such special care of our Border Collie Goose! He has terrible separation anxiety and Sophia barely left his side for straight week. I came home to happy dog and a very clean house. We will absolutely have her again and would highly recommend her.
