We were excited to meet Sonya. She was delightful and enthusiastic when meeting us and Sophie. She is obviously very prepared to keep/sit/board dogs. We discussed that we were going to a funeral that was to start in 45 minutes and we would expect to be back in less than three hours, before 2pm so we could head back to Dallas and get home before dark. She asked us to text her when we were on our way to pick Sophie. As we drove away after leaving Sophie with her, we felt she was in good hands. I texted her at 1:43 that we were on our way to pick up the dog. When we got to the house, we found no one home. She responded to my text that they were running late with another job and would head back to their house. We ended up waiting close to 45 minutes from our initial text before they got home. We were beginning to get very concerned and were most unhappy. We picked up Sophie. without expressing our displeasure, thanked her profusely for taking care of the dog and left. I had $$ in my pocket to give her as a tip even though we paid for a full day and Sophie was only there four hours. Since she left and was not home when we returned and we had to wait and due to the wait, we ended up getting into Dallas after dark, which we had planned to avoid, I did not tip her and will not leave her a tip at this time. I really liked Sonya a lot and am disappointed that the experience was not what we expected and have traditionally experienced with Rover sitters.

Sonya was able to accomodate my puppy last minute, even though he hasn't been trained yet! It went great from start to finish and I'll definitely be using her again!
