Hello! My name is Sonya, and animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a mini farm and raised my three children alongside beloved dogs and cats, giving me a deep appreciation for the joy, companionship, and unconditional love our pets bring into our lives. For the past seven years, I've dedicated myself to caring for other families' pets and homes. I understand how important it is to know your furry family members are not only safe, but also loved and cared for while you're away. I work primarily remotely and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. I am also a Minister and Celebrant, as well as a Spiritual Coach and Breathwork, Pranayama, Yoga, and Meditation practitioner. When I do step out for a wedding, service, or class, I am typically away for only 2–4 hours. I love staying active and am happy to take dogs on long walks, hikes, or runs—up to 2–4 miles per day if that's something they enjoy! And for the cuddle bugs, I'm equally happy to provide plenty of snuggles. Your house and your rules always come first. I will care for your home with the same respect and attention I would want for my own. I'm happy to bring in mail and packages, water plants, flowers, and gardens, or help with other small household tasks such as picking vegetables—just let me know what you need. I live simply, eat a vegetarian diet, healthy lifestyle and maintain a smoke-free, drug-free home and lifestyle. I also do not smoke or drink alcohol. Above all, my goal is simple: to be a loving, safe, peaceful, and dependable presence so you can travel knowing your pets and home are being cared for with genuine attention and heart. We couldn’t be happier with the care Sonya provided while we were away! She took amazing care of our dog, giving him lots of love, attention, and exercise, and it was clear he was very comfortable and happy in her hands. Our home was spotless when we returned. Sonya kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She is responsible, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond. We highly recommend her and would welcome her back anytime!
100/10 review for Sonya! She was great, keeping us in the loop while our dog Leo has some stomach issues. She went above and beyond cleaning up after him and left the house in great condition when we came back. She also followed instructions perfectly regarding when to reach out to us in the event of a problem, like Leo’s stomach. She gave medications exactly as we asked, no problem at all. We cannot thank her enough for the care she gave Leo while we were away.
We had Sonya stay at our home for 16 days to take care of our senior shepherd. He is in need of special care and medication. Sonya did a great job with our boy. He seemed relaxed and happy when we got home. Our home was clean and well cared for while we were gone. We will definitely ask Sonya to come back when vacationing again. Sonya took care of our dog and house sat for us for eight days and she was absolutely wonderful. She took time to meet with us beforehand in order to be clear on what her responsibilities would be. Sonya was extremely detailed, punctual and communicative. She took excellent care of our dog and left our home spotless. Sonya is a highly responsible and trustworthy person and we will be having her house and dog sit for us again later this month. We HIGHLY recommend Sonya without reservation!!!
We loved having Sonya take care of our 3 dogs in our home. They can be a handful and despite that, she took all 3 on a walk at the same time which I have never been brave enough to do! Our dogs rule the roost and 2 of them even managed to sneak their way onto her bed in the wee hours of the morning. Sonya sent pictures a couple times a day and was in contact throughout her stay. This was our first experience with Rover and we look forward to having Sonya back into our home in the very near future.
Sonya is a very diligent caregiver, so we knew our dog would be safe & happy with her. She communicated with us any updates and/or questions. She is very energetic and took our dog for 2 walks/hikes each day. Sonya is genuinely kind person who treats animals like they’re her own - I highly recommend her!
