I have adopted, trained, raised and loved 2 dogs from puppies to adulthood in NYC (25 yrs total). Dogs are special creatures, and I love connecting with them and caring for them. I also know how challenging it is finding a trusted, detail-oriented, loving sitter! I will love and care for your dog like my own and will be attentive to all your pup’s particular needs and personality.

Sonya was wonderful! Frequent communication, close attention to Mila's needs and schedule, and very flexible. Mila seemed right at home immediately and would love to come and visit her and Wallace again!

Sonya is the most caring dog caregiver I know. She's gentle and loving and can also be lovingly firm when needed. She connects with dogs in a very special way and can sense their moods and needs. She's attentive, responsive, calm under pressure, and can go with the flow. I have entrusted our family dog to Sonya's care multiple times over the years and never ever worry while we're away. Sonya is truly the best.
Sonya is a fantastic pet parent! She takes her dog Wallace everywhere with her and truly makes him a part of her life, and I know she would love to do the same with other animals. She and Wallace have also stayed with my family and our dog repeatedly and have meshed well with our household. I would trust her to be a great caretaker for my dog anytime!

Schedule
Currently I work from home and will be with your dog full-time for walks and play, except for 1-2 hrs to go to the store or the gym nearby.

Safety, trust & environment
I have an 12-lb sweet, mellow dachshund-terrier, 12 yrs old. We are happy to meet n greet to make sure the dogs get along. We’ll walk 2-3x daily, and your dog will get lots of love & attention. Happy to snuggle your dog on the couch or play with them and their favorite toys. The dogs can sleep in the bedroom in a dog bed or on a small sofa.

A typical day
I live near tree-lined blocks and a park, and I know how much a good long walk can do wonders for a dog's health and happiness. I also have an outdoor space for hanging out in good weather. My dog is very adaptable so we can adjust to your dog’s routines. I am a morning person so will likely be up and ready for your pup to start the day.
