Your Furry Friend’s Newest Friends
We've grown up with dogs our entire life - separately, and together - of all shapes and sizes. From a grumpy Cocker Spaniel, to an energetic fuzzball of a Golden Retriever, and a love bug of a Great Dane… both Bobby and I are absolutely comfortable with them all. I (Sonya) have dog sat & walked growing up for family members and neighbors in the past - even those who needed special accommodations due to age, disability, recent surgeries, etc. Bobby has also always been the go-to for friends and family when they're in a pinch and need their fur babies watched for a weekend or two. Long story short, we're always wanting to give a helping hand where we can! Since moving into the city (Chicago) back in 2022, we've adopted two sweet & mischevious kitties together from One Tail at a Time & it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. While both of us definitely consider ourselves dog people, we love our little orange man and goatee boy more than anything, and we adore other cats & kittens the same. All are welcome in our home!

Most people wouldn’t be able to handle them together but Sonya & Bobby were up for the challenge and completely surpassed our expectations! Sonya and Bobby are wonderful. We have a senior dog who has health issues and is very nervous. Their experience with senior dogs made leaving Lily much easier. They administered her meds, carried her up and down steps and lifted her up to the couch. In addition, they were very flexible with drop off and pickup and communicated each day she was with them. I will absolutely use their services again and highly recommend..
The best! They gave me thorough updates every drop-in and it gave me so much peace of mind while being out of town. I will definitely be booking with them again!!
Sonya and Bobby were communicative, flexible, and highly responsive. We had some trouble with our automatic litterbox while we were traveling and they helped us troubleshoot which we appreciated. Our home was in perfect order and our kitties were safe and happy when we returned & we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter!

Schedule
I (Sonya) am currently a full-time employee; however, my schedule can certainly be flexible! That being said, I’m typically out the door by 9am Mon-Friday and am back by 6:30pm. Halfway through my day, I will usually stop by home around 2pm for a meal break and some relaxation before heading back to work. In short, times before 9am or after 6:30pm Mon-Fri work for me for walks/pick-ups/drop-offs with a wider service radius. If mid-day requests come in Mon-Fri, the 2pm lunch can be adjusted range wise, but will simply need to be closer to the River North area. As for the weekends, we are fully available if no prior commitment has been made! My partner is self-employed as an appliance repair man - so he's on an "on call" schedule that varies daily. Sometimes, he's home by 3pm, other days, I beat him back to the apartment or he hasn't had to leave at all. That said, he would be happy to keep your pet(s) company while I am away and vice versa. We're both open to meeting you ahead of time so that you know exactly who your furry friend will be spending their time with.

Safety, trust & environment
We have an enclosed grassy courtyard attached to our apartment complex that is quickly accessible for potty breaks, but we also have easy access to a residential neighborhood area with plenty of greenery for longer walks. Though we have non-aggressive cats in our unit, we can either let the animals roam freely together or tuck the little ones away behind closed doors - whatever you feel most comfortable with! Open to following special diet restrictions, medicine routines, and more! Just let us know what accommodations you need :)
Pets
A typical day
Both Bobby and I are happy to stimulate your pet however best fits their personality. We can go on long walks, play fetch in a safe/enclosed area, incorporate training with treats, and more! Whichever way your pet likes to spend their time, we are happy to join them accordingly.
