Loving home from home for your dog

I've been an animal lover my whole life and have shared my home with all sorts of pets over the years, including a Cocker Spaniel, cats, hamsters and tortoises. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, settled and loved while they're away from their owners. Whether it's sticking to a familiar routine or just plenty of cuddles, I'll always treat your dog as if they were one of my own. I have a five-year-old Cockerpoo called Daisy, who weighs around 10kg. She's wonderfully friendly and brilliant with other dogs — there's nothing she loves more than heading to the park for a walk with her doggy friends, so she'd be lovely company for any pup coming to stay.. I offer both doggy day care and overnight boarding for small to medium dogs (up to 10kg). I am happy to follow your dog's usual routine and send you regular updates, so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing they're in safe, loving hands.

Schedule

Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I work from home, which gives me a high level of flexibility and availability throughout the day. On a daily basis, I’m able to build pet care into my normal schedule without any disruption. During the working day, I’m present for regular check-ins and reassurance, short play sessions or quick walks, monitoring behaviour, health, and comfort, maintaining feeding schedules or giving medication if needed.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's safety and happiness will always come first. I only look after small to medium dogs up to 10kg, which keeps playtime gentle and nicely matched, and I am very happy to follow any instructions you have around food, medication or little habits so your dog feels right at home. My home is a calm and friendly place where dogs are treated as one of the family rather than just a guest. Your dog will have plenty of cosy spots to relax in, lots of company from my friendly Cockerpoo Daisy, and regular walks to the local park for some fresh air and a good sniff about. I know it can be hard leaving your dog with someone new, so I’ll send you plenty of photos and updates while they're with me. You can head off knowing they're safe, settled and thoroughly spoiled until you're back together.

A typical day

I love taking the dogs for a walk in nearby parks, so they can enjoy all the different smells. We have plenty of toys and balls to play with in the garden. The day starts with a trip outside for a potty break, then breakfast, the dog is fed according to its normal diet and schedule, fresh water is topped up. A short play session which can help burn off the morning energy and keeps your dog stimulated. Mid-morning is relaxation time, toys are provided if the dog wants to engage in play. Afternoon walk or play fetch in the garden, regular bathroom opportunities are given throughout the day. Evening is time for dinner if dog is fed twice-daily, shorter evening walk and then calm time, followed by a final toilet break and then the dog can sleep in their bed, crate or blanket. Dogs are also allowed on the bed if that's what they are used to.
