Availability

I do currently work 8am-5pm Monday through Friday with an hour long lunch, during which I come home and check on the pets in my home. I live with my mom who gets home from work around 12pm and helps me out with the pets in the home, so your pet will only be left home for 3-4 hours maximum. I’m off on the weekend so your pet will not be alone then.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home we have one small dog, who’s friendly with other animals (she may bark at first but after a couple minutes she is okay) and a kitten who’s also very friendly and can be kept away from your pet if needed. My dog goes on two full walks a day for about 20-30 minutes each, with shorter potty breaks in between. My dog sleeps in a different bedroom than me with another family member so my bedroom at night would just be me and your pet and I can accommodate a crate if needed in the bedroom. For house sitting bookings during the week, I can stay the night and come check on your pet during my lunch break (if you live in Kent) and I can be there for most of the day on weekends. I also don’t mind other duties around the house like taking the trash out to the curb for trash day, watering plants or checking the mail, just let me know :) Also Rover takes a 20% fee for every service, I also accept payments outside of Rover in cash, zelle, venmo and cashapp. If booked outside of Rover i can give 20% off, but keep in mind you will not have the Rover guarantee (basically pet/ home insurance during your booking). This means if your pet gets sick or injured, any and all vet expenses will be up to you to pay for, if you are booking a house sitting you will also be responsible for any and all damage to your home. I have never had to take a pet to the vet or use the home insurance during my two years on Rover but it is important to remember if you book with me outside the app.

Information Sonora V. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know your pet has a favorite activity or toy so we can do that as much as possible and if your pet has any special needs or accommodations that I should be aware of and I will gladly make sure everything is taken care of :)

A typical day

My day usually begins with taking the dogs out for a 20 ish minute walk and feeding them breakfast. I leave for work at 8am and come back around 12pm for lunch and to check on the animals, my mom also gets home around this time and stays with the animals for the rest of the day. I get home at 5pm from work and take the dogs for another 20-30 walk and feed them dinner. Then the animals are put in to their sleeping arrangements whether that’s a crate, a dog or cat bed or just being out into a specific bedroom to hang out for the rest of the night.

Sonora has done in-house sitting for us several times and we have always had a great experience. She has learned our nervous senior dog’s personality and been sweet to him, which has helped him warm up. We always get text and photo updates, which is great.

Sonora was absolutely amazing with my dog and cat. I got daily updates and pics, and she was super easygoing with my return time (layovers can be a hassle). I will absolutely be a return client, and I highly recommend.

Roku had a good time while under Sonora's care. She was sending photos everyday and responding quickly to my messages.

We’re never surprised that Bentley has the best time with Sonora! She’s amazing at keeping us updated and always makes us feel at ease while we’re away. She was able to take Bentley super last minute, which we really appreciated, and was incredibly understanding and flexible when our plans changed and we had to shorten the booking. Bentley always comes back happy and well taken care of. We’re so grateful to have found her! Highly recommend 💙🐾
