Hi! My name is Sonjia! I'm a remote-working entrepreneur which means I set my own work schedule and I can work from anywhere. This also means I'm fully available to care for your pets as needed - day or night, weekday or weekend. I worked in the oil & gas industry for 25 years (10 years with Exxon Mobil and 15 years with Royal Dutch Shell) - so I'm a mature, dependable, responsible, professional person who communicates proactively and honors her commitments. I will treat your home with the utmost respect and I will care for your fur babies as I would my own (like a member of the family)! I have several 5-star reviews for in-home pet and house-sitting on the TrustedHousesitters website and a few continuing arrangements where my service, care, and flexibility work perfectly for the pet owners. I also volunteer periodically at the ASPCA and Humane Society - walking the dogs, cleaning the kennels, and giving the animals some love & affection until they find their "forever homes & families." Additionally, I've been a pet owner many times over the years: several dogs and cats; reptiles (snakes, turtles); small mammals (guinea pigs, sugar gliders); amphibians (frogs); and fish. Basically, animals love me... and I love the animals! 😊

Schedule
Because I determine my daily work schedule and I’m free to work from anywhere, I can be home with your fur baby during the day to keep them company, take them on an impromptu walk to play or get some fresh air & sunlight, and be available in the event of an emergency.

- Before a house-sit, I like to set up a phone call or virtual meet & greet so you can get to know me better and vice versa. During that time, we'll review key questions such as allergies, medications, dietary requirements, fears and triggers, interaction with dogs & children, and other things (I have a list I like to use for a quick run-through). During your absence, I'll send daily messages and photos / videos. I know it can be difficult to be away from your fur baby so I'll be in consistent and proactive contact to help put your mind at ease and confirm that your furry family member is safe, loved, & well cared for!
