Me in a nutshell: I am a compassionate animal caretaker and have worked with a variety of four-legged friends! I believe that a pet is family and deserves the best care possible. My experience: I’ve spent my entire life with animals and I currently have two pups at home! Professionally, I am a Wildlife Biologist and I have about a decade of experience with domestic animal shelters, wildlife rehabilitation, captive wildlife, and (my favorite) pet-sitting! I am Fear Free Certified which simply means I’m equipped to put animal welfare above all else. I love to engage animals and I believe offering enough mental and physical stimulation is key for a healthy pet. I am a detail oriented and caring person, and I show the same love to your pets as my own! What to expect: I prefer to provide care in the home that the animal is already comfortable with. To do this, I am happy to commute within the Fort Collins region to your pet’s home base. I am very open to working with any special requests you might have: I’m happy to do dog walks, intentional play sessions, I can provide medications, or provide structured training (within a structure you’re already implementing). Before we commit to pet-sitting, I like to do a meet n’ greet with you and your pets to make sure I’m a good fit for their needs and to make sure you’re comfortable with me! Safety, trust & environment
I generally prefer to offer services in the client/pet's home where the animal is already comfortable. I can provide meals, potty breaks, reinforce ongoing training efforts, and offer enrichment/stimulation and playtime. We will meet and discuss the specific needs for your pet prior to beginning care!

Sonja was a total hero the Christmas Eve morning that I suddenly needed someone to commit to visiting my dog that night and again on Christmas morning. She responded immediately to my initial request, came over to meet my dog and get the key, and saved me a ton of stress and hassle. My dog appeared vary casual with her from the start. I would highly recommend Sonja to anyone.

Schedule
I will give your pets enrichment, playtime, medications, meals, or exercise as needed. I will meet with you prior to providing pet care to discuss the specific needs for your pet!

- I need to know about any concerns you have for your animal friend. This can include medical conditions, behavioral tendencies, and training capabilities. If there are multiple animals in the home, I need to understand their relationships with one another, and how care will be provided for each one together and/or separately.
