I work part time from home on a very flexible basis. This enables me to pop out locally at short notice if required, and give plenty of time and attention to dogs in my care. I'm a keen walker and walk several miles a day.

Let me know if your dog has any specific requirements. My preference is for dogs who I can safely run off lead in parks/on the common but I'm flexible. I can take them to a private dog enclosure for a small extra fee if they have poor recall.
A typical day
A typical day depends very much on your dog's routines and requirements. Happy to provide sniffy lead walks at their own pace, or a few miles off lead if that's what they prefer. Always up for playtime and cuddles.

Pet care experience
Having had a pet dog whilst my children were growing up, we switched to volunteering with guide dogs in 2018. We have raised three lovely guide dog puppies who've gone on to qualify, as well as boarding numerous other guide dog puppies on a short term basis. More recently we have started house/dog sitting, and have completed 6 sits in holiday areas via free housesitter websites (this is a mutually beneficial arrangement enabling us to go on holiday to places we want to visit) I've joined rover because I've had a few people ask me to help with pet care locally, which I'm happy to do for a small fee. I have lots of experience with dogs of all ages, with the guide dog training starting from 8 weeks old. Unfortunately I'm very allergic to cats so I'm unable to offer dog sitting in a home with a resident cat.

I have known Sonia for over six years . We were volunteer puppy raisers for Guide Dogs . She was always conscientious towards her role. She offers a balance between providing a safe and a fun environment for the dogs in her care.
