As a current nursing student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate consistent, quality time to pet care throughout the week. I plan my days in a way that gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. Because I’m already very active and incorporate daily walks into my routine, caring for pets fits in seamlessly. I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors and being active, so making sure pets get regular exercise, attention, and companionship is something I naturally prioritize in my day.

I always put the pet’s needs first and aim to keep their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I understand that every pet is different, so I closely follow each owner’s instructions when it comes to feeding, exercise, medications, and overall care. I’m very flexible with the types of services I offer. I’m comfortable staying in a client’s home for overnight care, doing drop-in visits, or a combination of both depending on what works best for you and your pet. I can also accommodate bringing smaller pets into my home if that’s preferred and arranged in advance. My goal is to meet each family where they are and provide care that keeps pets happy, safe, and stress-free while their owners are away.

I like to learn as much as I can about each pet ahead of time so I can provide the best possible care. It’s especially helpful to know about any special needs, medications, dietary restrictions, or health concerns, as well as their daily routine. I also like to understand their temperament—how they are with other animals, new people, and different environments—so I can make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m very flexible and happy to adapt to each pet’s unique needs, I just appreciate having a clear idea of what to expect so I can give them the best care possible!
A typical day
I love making sure pets stay active, happy, and engaged while you’re away! With dogs, I enjoy long walks, runs, and trips to the park to help them burn off energy and have fun. I also love playtime—whether that’s fetch, tug-of-war, or just being silly together. For both dogs and cats, I’m big on giving lots of attention, cuddles, and affection. I’m happy to incorporate their favorite toys, routines, and treats (as approved!) to make them feel comfortable and excited. I also don’t mind helping with basic care like baths or grooming if needed. Overall, I’m all about keeping pets entertained, loved, and feeling like they’re having a great time while you’re away!

What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals and the genuine joy I get from caring for them. I grew up in a home with cats, a dog, and even a bunny, so I’m very comfortable with a variety of pets and understand the importance of routines like feeding, litter care, exercise, and lots of attention. Throughout high school, I regularly walked dogs and pet-sat for neighbors, becoming a trusted and familiar face for many families. I stayed connected with them through college and continued pet-sitting whenever I could, which speaks to the relationships and trust I built with both pets and their owners. I’m currently in nursing school, which has strengthened my sense of responsibility, attentiveness, and reliability—qualities I bring into every pet care situation. I’m also very active and walk a lot daily, so I love taking dogs on long walks, playing outside, and making sure they get the exercise and stimulation they need. Above all, I treat every pet like my own and aim to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

Sonia is an amazing pet sitter. I had just gotten a new kitten and had to leave town last minute for a work trip, so I reached out to her in a bit of a scramble. She was super responsive and made the whole situation feel so much less stressful. While I was gone, she kept me updated with messages and pictures just like I’d asked. You can tell she genuinely cares and she treated my kitten like her own and made sure everything was taken care of. I’d recommend her to anyone without hesitation.
