Sondra was great and sent us so many cute pictures. Our dog Olive obviously loved her vacation and we were happy to leave her in such good hands!

Sondra took wonderful care of our little guy. She is very calm, professional, and attentive. Cookie got lots of time snuggling and playing fetch. Sondra sent pictures every day, which gave us peace of mind while we were away for a week.

Sondra is a great dog walker and dog sitter. Sondra has walked my 4.5-year-old pug mix, Lenny, many times. Every now and then, my partner and I will need to be out of the house for long stretches of the day. Sondra is always who I ask to walk and play with Lenny in our absence. Not only is she dependable, but she also has great intuition about dog behavior. Lenny is a bit anxious on walks. If there is construction or noisy vehicles nearby, Lenny pulls on his leash to try to go home. I've seen Sondra gently coax him into continuing his walk, helping him overcome his fear and positively reinforcing his good behavior.

Sondra cared for our dog, Shyla, off and on for a year. She is responsible and loving, which means she knows when to pet and when to pull back; when to play and when to feed, when to brush and when to exercise your dog. She can read a dog's needs like nobody's business. And she's not afraid to get her hands dirty! Once when Shyla had a tick and we (her owners) didn't know what it was, Sondra asked for a warm washcloth and calmly removed the pest. Shyla didn't even whimper. Sondra is awesome. Bottom line, you can trust her with your precious dog!

Sondra took excellent care of my Terrance. I work a lot, and my poor buddy would spend way too much time in the pen if I didn't hire a dogsitter occasionally. It's typically nerve-wracking to hire someone you don't know personally to enter your home and care for your loved ones, but Sondra made me feel safe right away. I could tell she genuinely cared for animals and felt confident she could the job. I was not disappointed. There were 0 issues working with Sondra, and I could tell by the way Terrance wagged his tale when she knocked on the door that their relationship was fantastic. She service was thoughtful, thorough, and punctual. I fully recommend Sondra Hart.

Safety, trust & environment

My home is spacious with many cozy couches and space to play. There's easy access to walks or jogs around the neighborhood, as our entrance is on a backstreet, not the Boulevard. I host with an adaptive approach depending on pets' preferences. I'll tailor their day to day routines to what their used to at home. Including loving attention, dining schedule, medication needs (if relevant), couch time or staying off furniture, frequency and activity level of walks and play, and whatever requests you have to help your dog be comfortable while you're away.

A typical day

~ Walking familiar routes around your neighborhood at whatever pace is best for them ~ Walking or jogging river trails & park trails ~ Quality pets and under the collar skritches ~ Keep-away and tug-of-war with toys ~ Practicing tricks they know or venturing on to new ones ~ Attempting to balance a treat on ones nose (Advanced) ~ Love, Companionship, and Respect

Before sitting or walking, I would want to know your pet's command keywords and familiar tones they respond to. Anything they get excited about or anything they may be bothered by? How do they do with other dogs? Are they nervous around kids? People with hats on? Are they timid, sensitive about being alpha, or easily threatened? Any special allergies/medical concerns? And anything else you would like me to know!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
