It’s really important to know key details to ensure their safety and comfort. I always ask about their temperament and personality—whether they’re shy, energetic, or anxious—as well as any health issues, allergies, or medications they may have. Knowing their feeding schedule and diet helps me keep their routine consistent, and understanding their exercise needs and any activity restrictions ensures they get the right amount of physical and mental stimulation. It’s also crucial to learn how they behave around other animals and people, if they know any commands, and what house rules they follow, like which areas or furniture are off-limits. Lastly, having emergency contacts and knowing their favorite toys or activities helps me keep them happy and prepared for anything. This information really helps me provide the best care possible while their owners are away.
