Sommer's Safe Haven for Animals
Hello, I’m Sommer! Not only have I had pets my whole life, but I've also always taken care of other people’s pets. I've watched turtles and hamsters, and I’ve walked dogs. I've even gained some experience taking care of horses. I truly adore being around animals, it’s what makes me happiest. I've had pets my whole life, including dogs, hamsters, and lizards. I currently have two dogs! A long haired Chihuahua mix named Ginger and a Carolina named Scooby. I have one cat! A white long haired kitty named Angel. I volunteered at an animal shelter when I was younger. I don't volunteer currently, but I still like to visit shelters to spend time with the animals and give them a little extra attention. Both my dogs have gone to training classes. Scooby did service dog training, and Ginger did basic obedience training, so I know the basics of canine training. I like to keep my room pretty calm. I think my pets like that because they stay in my room most of the day. I have a window by my bed that looks out to my little garden. You can find my cat, Angel, there all the time. I also have windows that look out to the front of the house so they can watch cars go by or squirrels playing in the trees. I'm very empathetic and sensitive to the needs of others, especially animals. I'm an adaptable and flexible pet sitter.

I currently don’t offer daycare and boarding services but I do offer drop ins and house sitting! I always make sure the animals have enough water/food and a clean/comfortable area.

It was nice to be able to invite Sommer back to walk our pups! She's good with the dogs and able to handle their excitement for walking. Her Rover cards are thorough and takes ton of pics, which we love. She was able to accommodate a late notice and walk the dogs every day while we unexpectedly returned to work. The dogs seem to love walking with her and we're glad that we're able to have her back, finally!
Sommer is great! It's my first time having a dog walker and I can tell my pups really enjoyed it!
I was really happy with Sommer’s help. She was really gentle with my chihuahua when we met. My chihuahua, Pigley, is partly paralyzed and Sommer took the time to learn how to hold her and place her gently on the ground so that she doesn’t fall over. I can tell that she is very caring with animals. I highly recommend her!
Sommer was great; she was always on time, sent pictures, and got back to me right away about scheduling changes. I will definitely hire her again for my cats next time I go out of town. Thank you!
Sommer was an excellent walker who was very punctual. She took great care of my little pit bully and it showed well in his photos. Would definitely recommend !
Sommer did an amazing job with my 2 dogs and 2 cats! She took special care with our senior greyhound and gave her medication. The whole experience was wonderful I can’t wait to have her sit again.

Schedule
I’m currently enrolled in school. But my schedule is flexible so I can work with your schedule (and your animals’ schedule!) Getting to hang out with your animals brightens my day!
