Pet care experience
I spoil my pets not my kids.🦮🐕🦺
I donate most of the proceeds to support a nonprofit I created a few years ago, inspired by my mom while she was still with us. The organization is dedicated to helping low-income seniors keep their beloved pets—because no one should have to lose their companion simply due to age or financial hardship. These relationships bring comfort, purpose, and joy, and it’s an honor to help protect them. I’ve spent more than 20 years working with dogs, cats, and other animals. I’m deeply intuitive with dogs and can often sense what they’re feeling or what may be troubling them. Whether it's gentle guidance for a new puppy or compassionate care for a senior dog, I’m here to support both pets and their people with patience, understanding, and love. My son Joni is also an experienced rover sitter. Though he’s away in college, he always helps with pup guests when home-we are a family of animal lovers.

Ratings and reviews
Sofiya was caring and sent us pictures and messages about how Spock was doing. We booked with her for one weekend, but I will definitely book again when needed.

Sofiya did a wonderful job of caring for my very senior dog. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I look forward to using her again.

Sofiya took care my Shih Tzu Luca twice a week for the last few weeks. Luca looked forward to going there every time and she seemed to have a good time. Sofya seemed a very experienced person and was efficient in handling many dogs at once. I will go back to her when needed again

Our Samoyed enjoyed his stay! Thank you!
Always reliable, kind and treats our pup like one of her own. Highly recommend!

My dogs returned happy, healthy and one even got a bath! We will stay with Sofiya again.

Schedule
My day starts at 6 a.m. I work remotely as a tax preparer and corporate accountant, so I’m home most days of the week. I love my home and the little world I’ve created here with my pets, chickens, and plants. Everyone lives together in perfect harmony because every creature’s needs and wants are listened to, understood, and lovingly cared for.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a tall, fully fenced yard with a locking gate for safety. The chickens are kept in a secure enclosure that isn’t accessible to other pets. I have only one neighbor on one side, so it’s a quiet, peaceful space. My dog and cat are very friendly and are used to welcoming new friends into their home.
Pets
A typical day
We follow a gentle daily routine that keeps everyone happy, stimulated, and relaxed. The day usually begins with playtime in the backyard, where pups can socialize and burn off energy. Breakfast, medication, and treatments to those who need them. Afterward, they enjoy snack time and a cozy nap—either on the cool grass or inside the air-conditioned living room. Throughout the day, I include a couple of short training sessions to help dogs stay motivated, friendly with one another, and well-mannered. Everything is based on positive reinforcement. Walks are taken with one or two dogs at a time to ensure safety, attention, and a calm experience. We also incorporate cognitive toy play, where pups solve puzzles and work to get treats—great for mental stimulation. More outdoor play follows, then a bit of cleaning or grooming before dinner. After dinner, we take another walk and settle in for a peaceful bedtime.
