Quiet, Kind Companion for Dogs & Cats
I have extensive, hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals. From the age of 12, I grew up with Patterdale terriers, which were entered into dog shows and won terrier racing four years in a row. We also bred them, giving me early experience handling puppies, supporting early training, and understanding canine behaviour from a young age. I have been a horse rider for six years while growing up, which involved daily care, handling, grooming, and an understanding of animal responsibility and safety. I have also lived in two households with cats and have cared for a total of five cats, managing feeding routines, litter care, and individual temperaments. Alongside this, I have worked as a dog walker on and off throughout my life, handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and behavioural needs. This experience has made me confident, calm, and attentive when caring for animals, with a strong focus on their wellbeing, routine, and comfort.

I care for pets in a calm, safe, and respectful way, whether in my own home or in a pet owner’s home. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, exercise needs, medication, and house rules, to keep pets comfortable and settled. In a pet owner’s home, I maintain a clean, secure environment and respect the space as I would my own. I ensure doors, gates, and windows are safely managed, and I keep routines as consistent as possible to reduce stress. I am attentive to pets’ behaviour and wellbeing and will contact the owner promptly if anything seems out of the ordinary. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, tidy environment with appropriate supervision, safe spaces to rest, and regular interaction. I never leave pets unsupervised for long periods and ensure they are secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Safety, trust, and clear communication are central to how I work, and I aim to give both pets and owners peace of mind.

Sofie was really great with my elderly dog who struggles with her mobility sometimes. Sofie kept in contact throughout the day and sent some really lovely pictures to stop me being a helicopter mum 😅. Would definitely book with Sofie again.
Sofie has been very caring with my dog, he really looks forward to seeing her, as well as walking him she plays with him, and gives him affection. She knows his routine with meals and treats too. Sofie is reliable and trustworthy as well as being a great companion to any dog she looks after.

Sofie has been amazing with my dog Uki. She is caring and attentive of her needs as she can be reactive. She send photos, videos and regular updates when looking after Uki which is nice as I can worry. I would highly recommend Sofie to anyone looking for a dog or cat sitter / walker :)

Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I organise my schedule to ensure I can give animals consistent attention for feeding, walks, play, and companionship. I am reliable with routines and timings, and I plan my days so that pet care is never rushed. I am able to accommodate regular bookings as well as occasional or short-notice care, and I adjust my routine to suit each pet’s needs, whether that’s structured walk times, quiet check-ins, or longer stays.
